I rarely cry at TV, but that episode definitely brought the waterworks. (At first I thought maybe the actress who played her sister died, too. But I don't think that's the case.)

I don't think so either because why would they have filmed all that extra stuff...so I think it was just a plot device.

Oddly, and randomly, I believe I saw her a few months ago at the movie theater.
