Jack follows Chris up the stairs to the bedroom Jeannie had mentioned, heaving the bags onto the bed. It's a nice room; comfortable, with a nice view out the window, looking out over the trees.
Unzipping his suitcase, Jack gives Chris a small smile. "Why do I get the feeling Ryan isn't too happy with the thought of us sharing a room?"

Well, this weekend is getting off to a good start. "Jeannie seems nice; you said you two were friends at West Point?" he says, pulling out a few shirts and hanging them in the closet.

"Yeah, we were roommates our Freshman year," she says, putting closing the drawer with the last word. Turning, she leans on the dresser and looks at him. "So, what do you think?"

He gives her a small smile, walking over to her. "I think your family has a nice vacation home, your niece is cute and your brother's rather protective, not surprisingly", he says, putting a hand on her arm and leaning in to kiss her. "It'll be okay."

Jack's smile gets wider as he pulls back from the kiss. "Though I guess I won't be getting lucky at all this weekend, unless they decide to go for a nice, long walk."

"Or we could go for a nice, long walk in the woods," she suggest, smiling mischievously and wrapping her arms around him. "We're the only people around for miles."

"Yeah, we could. And there'll probably be a lot of junk food for the barbecue; we need to get some exercise to make up for it," he says, pulling her into a hug for a minute before reluctantly letting go. "Right now, though we should probably get our stuff put away. Your family might get funny ideas if we're up here too long."
