Pathetic
While checking out at the Shell station this morning I saw something disturbing.
I was owed $8.87 change from a $10. I looked over and saw the following on the cashier's screen:
1 five dollar bill
3 one dollar bills
3 quarters
1 dime
2 pennies
Seriously. Are we as a country really this friggin stupid?
To think that I was actually mad at my dad in 6th grade for not letting me have a calculator for school like half the other kids did. Thank god he didn't. I couldn't imagine being so incompetent as to not be able to do basic math without the aid of a machine.
