I need a new team
So lately I've found myself jealous of people who have foreign teams to root for. I've decided I want to become a fan of some new team. I'm thinking some sort of European or South American Soccer or Basketball team (I'm looking at you for advice here, Powers). Maybe a Japanese baseball team? I was considering a local baseball team like the Lowell Spinners or Brockton Rox, but I'm thinking something more exotic may be fun. I just went back and re-read an old Bill Simmons column where he picked an EPL team to follow. Finding a team that I could actually watch games of would be key, this might rule out some of these Japanese baseball teams. Also, I want some sort of connection to this team if possible. My last name is Swedish, so I suppose I could just root for the Swedish national team to come in 2nd when the winter olympics comes around in 2 1/2 years, but I want MORE.
