Nobody Panic (Except Me)

Jan 05, 2015 03:14

I was standing in our room a couple of weeks ago, and I suddenly turned to Mike, and said "Oh my God, it's almost three months until the wedding." I've kind of been in a steadily escalating panic ever since then. I think Mike's starting to join me. Mike marvelled today that we have less than three months to go and when I broke down exactly how many ( Read more... )

Oh God, so much stress.
I don't think I could (or would want) to deal with all this stress to be honest. But I mean, I don't ever want to get married anyway, so there's that...

I never had this "little girl's dream" about a fairytale wedding where everything is perfect. I guess I just nevert was "that kind of girl"... but either way...

Good luck for the rest of the planning. I really hope it all goes well for you, but you don't have much time left, so I cross my fingers for you so it works out!

When my sister got married, they made magnets with the "save the date" thing to send to everyone, and they ended up having to make new ones cuz they changed the date. She also used The Knot for like everything though! I think it really helped her.

They also ended up hiring a planner which also helped a lot (my poor sister canNOT handle stress, poor thing) cuz they were having I think like 200 people coming

I've been using The Knot too ( not necessarily all that well ;)) and it is helpful.

Thankfully, we're not having anywhere close to 200 people. But I would still love to hire a wedding planner. I've read that it is smart to at least hire someone hire a planner for the wedding day, but I'm not sure if we could afford it.

Hopefully if you can, I agree you should get a planner on the day (my sister also did that) her husband's family had more money to put into it then we did so they were able to hire all this help/pay for more stuff :/

I've been looking at some places, and the prices, and wowza, it's so expensive! One place cost 5K (granted that was for the plan your whole wedding package. But still, right now it doesn't look like a service I can afford.
