Teen Wolf- S3E5 "Frayed" - AKA Me Falling Down the Rabbit Hole

I really loved the content of this episode. A LOT. But I didn't like the style of the episode. I hated, okay maybe hate is too strong a word, disliked all of the flashbacks especially how jumbled and out of order they were. I don't want to feel like an idiot while watching Tenn Wolf but I had trouble keeping what was going on straight at first. I ( Read more... )

Lol, i'm right there with you shipping Scott/Isaac. I totally agree. The other scene I would add to those is the one with Isaac in the bucket of ice and Scott beside him and Isaac grabbing onto Soott's arm. "I love Mexian." lol---gotta love tht!

I really agree with you, too, on the whole set up of the episode. I was like, wtf, the whole time, and it was distracting and I didn't like it AT ALL.

And the whole thing with Derek and the teacher--no way! Wtf? Why would he? huh? Come on! Is this just to give Derek a love interest?

I loved the text scene and the barf scene, too. Go Stiles! Such a cutie. We might need to ship Stiles and Danny.

That was a fantastic scene! This really has been the season of Scott/Isaac.

They're definitely setting up a love match with Derek and the teacher. It's going way too fast IMO.

Stiles and Danny are another pairing I really like. I could see myself shipping them.

See, I'm fine with flashbacks if they FILL IT ALL IN! Last night, they never explained WHY they were in what looked like an abandoned mall, they never explained why Scott thought he could go there and talk to Deucalion, they never explained ANY OF THE THINGS THAT HAPPENED! Grrrrr ( ... )

She definitely could die and give Derek more angst material, as if he needs any. I kind of don't want her to be evil because that's like a repeat of the Kate thing.

I actually really love Scott. Before I watched the show I heard about how whiny Scott was, and other than a few episodes here and there, I thought he handled his extreme situation very well.

This is exactly how I felt about the episode. I actually liked the plot and the character development, but the flashbacks and the fact that there were flashbacks in the flashbacks was just fucking annoying and made it all seem fragmented and weird ( ... )

I definitely agree that even if Derek trusted Jennifer for some unknown reason, I don't think Derek would want to put her in harm's way.

The only reason I can fanwank him not going to Deaton is if he possibly saw the Alphas there and couldn't go in. Deaton and Derek have a prickly relationship but Deaton would take care of Derek.

I thought about Scott's mom, too. Because, yeah, hello nurse. It's possible Derek wouldn't go to her because he's tried to let Scott live a relatively normal life for a while and might want to protect Melissa from danger. But being in dire straights I'd think he'd trust her far more than Jennifer.

Isaac/Scott is really the only ship on that show that does anything for me. *waves Isaac/Scott banner*

I know the EP likes to troll the fans and put a lot of fan service-y stuff in but the things between Scott and Isaac this season feel more deliberate. I feel they have to be going somewhere with this.
