The last year
The last year has been a very interesting one... Here are some highlights:
-Learning up close and personal how a little human being functions
-Diapers.. and lots of them!
-Hearing someone call you mama for the first time and seeing that they know what it means
-Many sleepless nights that leave you feeling some how rewarded
-The first night you have a babysitter and you get to finally reconnect with out of touch friends...
-Walking into the room and having someone light up just because you're there..
It's been a crazy year and as of Tuesday, Kevin officially turned one! Now is the time for front facing car seats (yeay legroom!!) and new teeth and real words! We had a great Halloween, and are looking forward to a great party.
I miss all the people that we used to see a lot. It's strange how one thing can change your life so much. It doesn't make you regret the change, just makes you think... I can barely remember the days where we went to Rocky every week (way back when it was every week), when we'd go to Kieran's every weekend to see the Malloys, plus the Half Time every Tuesday to see them... Going to parties and hanging out with people... Where did we find the energy!
It will be very interesting to see what the next year brings.. I'm hoping to reconnect with people who've drifted.. I miss the group of friends we used to be/have...
