I would say it's a 98% probability we are not truly in Manhattan. This has refined the possibilities for where we are, but unfortunately I'm no closer to finding solid evidence to support one theory over any other.
In any case, I would very much like a copy of the video.
I have concluded with near certainty that this is a construct of some kind, an artificial physical arena constructed by an unknown party that is, as far as we can tell, completely contained. It's possible, even highly probable that there's a weak point in the construction. However, finding that weak point will be very difficult unless we can deduce how and why this place was made. Either the function or the formation holds the key to unraveling the puzzle.
It would be convenient if you could please bring it to me. I am Near.
In the case that your theory is correct, that sounds like a good possibility to focus on. These are definitely the questions we have to focus on, though - the how and the why of this place.
Alright. Just give me an address and I'll bring you a copy as soon as it's made. Good to meet you, Near. Have you been here long?
I only arrived here yesterday, but I'm more than ready to leave. I have things I should be addressing back home, as I'm sure most people here do, and this city seems to have an unfortunate crustacean problem.
*[ooc: I'm not sure if this is actually where he's staying just yet since I haven't finished his intro log, but we can assume it for now.]
[surprised] You've only been here a day? Well, you certainly sound as though you've adjusted more quickly than most newcomers. I've met quite a few who took a few days just getting used to the idea that they weren't in the same reality anymore.
Glad you have found a place to stay already. Welcome to Manhattan.
I'm used to adjusting quickly to any eventuality, no matter how unusual. I admit I still have suspicions this is all a dream and I will wake soon, but as the hours pass, it becomes less and less likely. Fortunately, the supernatural is nothing new to me, making the idea of alternate realities much easier to digest.
Ironically, I had a similar adapatability; previous experience with alternate realities and dimensions made it relatively easy to figure out that I wasn't home anymore. I'm glad you were able to adjust rather quickly.
I don't suppose it'll mean much coming from a possibly hallucination, but I can pretty well gaurantee that you aren't dreaming, Near. Not that most of us don't wish we all were.
You're welcome. Call me Daniel. I've managed to finish the copies, so I'll be sure to get one to you as soon as I can.

I'll be burning a number of DVDs as soon as I can. Do you want to come by and pick one up, or should I bring it to you?
Daniel Jackson, by the way. I don't believe we've met.
