I don't know exactly when that will happen. In the meantime, though, I need a traveling partner tomorrow; I was hoping to make some rounds and visit the Bryant Park Hotel. Want to help me out? I'm going to get in trouble if I keep sneaking out on my own.
Ha! Yeah, that happened to me, too, although I managed to find my best friend from back home! Now he's holed up in one of my storage rooms. I'm just sure he's doing it just to drive me crazy. [grumbles] Can't even take a room with a decent bed...
Truthfully, I don't mind it at all. And the sheer unlikliness of how often I run into people is kind of funny in an ironic way. And that IS how I met Kang, who is a good friend now.
And thanks. I really don't know why this never occured to me before, but I should really start asking for people to back me up! Although it's not usually a problem unless people are from Earth - or the distant future, apparantly. People like from Kang's reality? They just accept it and go. It's a wonderful thing.

Yeah, always interestin' to see the range of believers you get comin' through. Dunno...for me, I've been cooped up workin' on these boats for a bit, so if you need to send me a call to run some supplies to ya for somebody new, I doubt a little jog'll do me too much harm.

...Wow, I'm sorry, Kaylee. I didn't even realize how long it has been since we talked! Well, now, see? This is one of those things we need to catch up on. Come over to the Dan Apartments and I'll introduce you to everyone who's in before we leave! Make sure you knock, though. MacGyver helped me give the doors some special security.
No, Jack doesn't NEED anything, unless you know where to find another P90. He just...well, I suppose I could link you to that embarrassing conversation he accidentally recorded and posted on the network...[grumble mutter] That would explain it.
[...starts laughing] Oh TRUST me...Jack is the wrong person to talk to about how our space equipment works. He is the anti-technology person. [suddenly thoughtful] Although he is in the Air Force, so he can probably tell you how the controls on some of the aircraft work. Not the mechanics, though. Jack is a great guy and the best person to have on your side in a dangerous situation, but he is not at all mechanically inclined.
You know, I do like doing supply runs a lot, and Jack never wants to tag along, so if you're interesting in starting your own collection, why don't we team up as scavanging partners? I have three storage rooms of all sorts of things I've collected since I got here, and it's more helpful than you'd think. Managed to trade a bunch of it for some C4, my old gun, and a good deal of other stuff, too. Plus, it is a great way to get out of the buildings.
(OOC: 8D Daniel's 'supply runs' are my usual excuse for him running into people, so this would be perfect! And we could easily have them both run into a new person that way. ^^)

Well, if he’s a pilot, maybe he and Wash should get together and toss a few words about. Don’t think Wash’s met anybody or had anyone to talk at in a long while...and it can get kinda lonely in the apartment if there ain’t nobody to talk to. Everybody’s been so busy lately...Might be time to take Wash out for a run or two...
If we’re goin’ scavengin’, we might have to take Jayne along. He’s been in the hunt for some new guns for a while. Here’s to wishin’ I could just find him somethin’ custom-made to keep him happy for a bit. [ Laughiiiiiing ] Not sure how Mal’d feel ‘bout me goin’ out without him too often, ‘specially nowadays. Won’t have a mind ‘bout goin’ tomorrow, but if it’s a regular thing and we’re actually lookin’ to get into things, he might start up.

Ha, now why would I hide from you? [also joking] Yeah, we've got a very interesting rig. I can probably show you a few of the tricks, so long as you promise not to tell anyone. We're trying to keep them out of common knowledge.
There's an idea. I'll ask him for you. He'd probably enjoy talking to someone with same interests.
Jayne? I don't think I've met him yet...although, there's so many people living at your auto shop that I may have just lost track. [laughs] He can come along if he wants, although I do generally try to stick to less crab-infested areas. And if two people with guns isn't enough, I've got some grenades that might come in handy.
Your captain is pretty protective of you, isn't he? I still haven't had much of a chance to talk to him. Ha, maybe I should just come over to the auto shop again and meet everyone. I wouldn't mind seeing how Link is doing.
