Arrived in San Francisco
First thanks to Sean for dropping us at the airport.
Our flight to Auckland was ok. Had an interesting chat with a guy from Pennsylvania, who's a addiction specialist. Also headed to the states, same flight, same row, but on the other side of the plane for the international flight.
When we got across to Auckland International terminal the board said we were on final call. Rushed to our gate to discover they hadn't even started boarding. Sat on the floor, probably looking a very lovery couple.
On board one of the staff came up and gave us a bottle of water and some much better than normal headphones, for being on our honeymoon, which was very nice of them. We also got some sparkling wine with dinner later. Trip was otherwise the normal economy flight, too little room and hard to sleep. Thankfully for Air New Zealand having separate movie consoles on each seat.
After my flights without it back from the UK I'll be flying Air New Zealand anytime I can.
No problems with customs, despite the 4 bottles of 42 in my bag. They didn't even check ...
We walked from the BART station to the hostel. Think we'll taxi next time. Still, good practice for walking at Burning Man.
Crashed out for 3 hours once in our room. Woken briefly by our one room mate. Don't think he was expecting to be sharing with a couple in a double bed.
The provided dinner was great. Went for a walk after to find gelato.
Tomorrow we'll get out some more.
Typing on this tablet isn't much fun, and is slow. Future updates will probably be shorter.
