Bootstrap's protectiveness of Letty is very sweet, especially because he's motivated by his own wife's expectations.

Bootstraps pov has become quite fun to write in this. He's such a great, conflicted character. And yes, of course Jack would show off. He's more subtle about it when he's older, of course.

I just had a moment of seeing Elizabeth in a dark red dress. Rather a different kidnapping. At least Letty’s married enough to wear the colour. But the poor thing, to be forced to endure pirates and then falling in love while not in her best looks. What a trial! I’m not sure which is worse!

Now Jack, that’s coming it a bit too strong! And doesn’t it take one to know one? Love this little exchange where Letty discovers that pirates kiss and tell. And Jack is so honest, playing all his cards out in the open still-that changes after the mutiny.

As for the little hairdressing scene-where do I sign up for that salon? If Letty is anything like me, she’s a goner. I absolutely melt when anyone does my hair.
