Oh man, how utterly lucious! Both the girls and himself, what a charming view of their lives.

"Yet still beautiful, still possessed of a gaiety, a courage that caught the wind" such a pretty pretty description of either, Pearl or Jack. They both have that strong base note, along with lots of fancy curliques, wow!

"And Elizabeth, seeing her captain taking his ease on the distant quarterdeck, had to agree." Yep, me too, also. Thank you.

Hear, hear! Well put about the Pearl. That she is a special ship is clearly shown in the movie. And here. And a special ship needs a special Captain, don't it? ;-) (And a special first mate... I love Gibbs, he is awesome...)
