Disneyland and PirateFic

Off to Disneyland on the morrow to see gingersnapps. A good time will be had by all, no doubt. It's been a week, culminating with a day. I won't go into detail. Suffice it to say I need a Disneyland fix, and had to immerse myself in the writing of PirateFic tonight, besides.

Am I bad for smiling at a description of a young Jack Sparrow steeling himself for pain? ;) Loved the sardonic humor in the descriptions of the waiting men, and your light touch in the h/c element at the end.

My favorite lines: "Fucking wonderful, mate," Jack drawled, and "Blue?". Don't know why, but that "Blue?" seemed so real and just cracked me up. *g*

I have to admit, a lot of my characterization here was inspired by tessabeth's brilliant Picaresque, and even the blue thread was a conceit of the lovely viva_gloria in her Navigational Errors. My writing is nothing, if not derivative. I am very glad you liked this, though. Thank you for the lovely feedback.
