Dang dang dang! I was so hoping the coda would reveal that the nun and Barbossa had been nekkid and up ta sumthin'! Ah well. Can't have everything. You're to be commended for showing respect for the vows of persons of the cloth, even if I WAS hoping for some X-TREEM Naughtiness. ;) Thanks for the novella!

LOL! You'll have to check the tabloids, where I'm sure you'll have no difficulty finding stories like that. As in any walk of life, it's that sort of thing that makes the news, because it is so unusual, and such a betrayal of what they are supposed to stand for. The countless stories of hard-working people, quietly doing what they can to make the world a better place, don't sell newspapers.

But I'm glad you enjoyed the story, in spite of the lack of illicit nookie in the last chapter, and I thank you very much for reading and commenting!

Enjoyed your post on potc_feminist this morning, btw, though I'm way behind in commenting on virtually everything. Now that this is finished I'll be able to catch up some.

Congrats on creating the most believable sympathetic!Barbossa I've encountered in any fic.

Great series!

Thank you! Hector isn't all bad, which was more noticeable in AWE than in CotBP, I must admit. Glad you enjoyed the story!

Indeed; he was really another person in that movie. Which I didn't mind, because his interactions with Jack were *so* interesting.

And your references to his early years are, too.

A beautiful end to the story. And Hector in love! I'd love to read a bit more of that if the inclination takes you and see what happened with Barbossa and Soeur Margerite in those weeks.

Thanks for sharing the tale, it's been a lovely read!
