Went down to Whittier with
shockwavesix to help niece
gingersnapps move from her cute apartment to a friend's mobile home. The moving of numerous and massive pieces of furniture was left to them: I was in charge of packing the kitchen, and other tasks designed to preserve the integrity of my touchy back. Work enough, believe me. I must say I did an exemplary job. They, however, performed such feats of moving as should be chronicled in the annals of whoever records such things. All was not unrelieved toil however: we had a wonderful breakfast yesterday at Knott's Berry Farm, then went to (a very late) dinner at The Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney--had the same egg rolls and lettuce wraps that
ladymora had on her birthday. Today we did breakfast at Dennys, and it was surprisingly good.
gingersnapps is far from through: she has to return the truck tonight to the U-haul place next to Puffy Taco (sadly they were closed so I have yet to sample same); go back to the apartment to fetch Daisy the Cat and her paraphernalia; go home and make her new room livable; try to sleep; get up and go to work tomorrow. Ugh.
I too, have to work tomorrow: student orientation begins at 8:30. First I will post a recipe or two on
prettygoodfood: I said one a day, and I don't want to get behind. And I must archive some more on
pirategasm (I'm doing February '04).
