Here I am, bouncing over the excellence, when just last night I was depressed as all get out. Just goes to show you what a little great pirate!fic can do. I've been meaning to post some recs for a while, and now's the time. All the piratey folk on my flist may have read these, but my RL friends have not, and each is well worth savoring.

I'm already a huge fan of artaxastra and penknife. When I've caught up reading what I missed of theirs while I was away, I'll definitely have a look at the others. Sounds like just the readfest I need for a back-to-school treat in September.

(Also trying to get that fourth nut out of the Locker soon.)
