Ah, California!

Feb 16, 2007 10:00

It's supposed to be in the high 70's to low 80's here today, sunny with a slight breeze.

Just wanted you to know. ;)

ETA: Wow. Just noticed I had California spelled wrong. Made the correction, but I think I need a weekend. A THREE DAY WEEKEND!!!!! Bwahahahahahah!!!!!

You suck :( It's not even going to get above freezing here today.

*does a summery little happy dance*

Actually, we were freezing not all that long ago -- I mean, compared to today's great weather. Lots of frost damage to our subtropical landscaping.

But today is gorgeous. And it's Friday! Wheeeee!!

*sends balmy breezes to warm you*

*sulks a little under her blanket*

It hasn't gotten above freezing much in days/weeks. The forties are considered warm.

Well, to everyone else but me, who always freezes her ... bum off.

Friday is about the only thing this day has going ... though I was at least in the mood to write just a tad earlier.

Oooh, balmy breezes :)

Being in the mood to write makes the worst weather much more better.

:P

We are getting a Nor'Easter and more snow. *sigh* I am tired of slush, snow, and cold.

Those are my gnomes and they are currently buried under 3 feet of snow in my front yard along with their mushroom....
I made the icon from the online catalog I got them from:)

*ppppbbbbllltttt*

(Actually that's way too warm for me in February. I like to have an actual winter in my winter. But it would be wonderful in, say, July, as opposed to miserable upper 90s.)

I like to have an actual winter in my winter.

Well, we already had that. Several nights below freezing. My hibiscus plants look awful. But the lilacs will be better for it.

Seriously, we need more rain -- had a little earlier this week, but we're seriously dry so far. It could still rain in March, though -- I've seen it happen.

Oh, and we often have weather like this in July, too. ;)

yes, but we're only supposed to have a couple of days of it. Just long enough to relax, and then we'll all have to put on sweaters again *prods the easterners gloatingly*

Those hills in your ave are GORGEOUS! And I think I've seen that spot- coming north on the 15 from San Diego right about this time a few years ago...

That was that one year when we got LOTS of rain -- the wildflowers were just CRAZY!! So beautiful.

We're driving up to San Francisco on the 2nd and I'm hoping the hills will be nice and green by then. We do need more rain. But not from the 2nd to the 5th.

I know the warm can't last at this time of year, but I do love it so much. Makes me happy. :)

Beats the heck out of sleeping on the couch so I can keep getting up to fill the wood stove in order to combat single digit overnight temps and avoid a $10 million electric bill! That settles it - I'm coming to visit (some day - preferably in winter). Enjoy your lovely weather, my dear!

I'd LOVE to have you stay. That would be so much fun!

I am indeed enjoying it, 'cause it won't last -- back to high 50's low 60's next week, according to my computer's 7-day forcast.

*sends you a hot cafe mocha, cookies, and a down blanket. And Sawyer, to keep you really warm* ;)

Cafe mocha, cookies and a down blanket big enough to share - and someone to share it with? You are a good friend! Some day we will meet - after all, you were my very first friend at LJ and our lives have some pretty distinctive parallels, don't they?

Just to make you smile, I'm including a link to a couple of pics of Sawyer's alter ego, taken right before he split kindlin', loaded the stove and settled down on the couch with the blanket, beverage and cookies. *yum* And thanks for sending him over!

Oooh, he's a cutie, isn't he? I can almost see him as Jack Shaftoe...

*hugs you tight* Really, if you ever manage to get out her, you have a place to stay. :D
