You like the cerebral, quirky, socialy awkward characters. ;)

That's one common thread, yeah. I think there are a couple of characters who don't quite fit (e.g. Kate and Brenda), but I don't think you could lump all of my favourites into one category anyway.

People who subvert socially imposed gender roles.

Kate = is a prosecutor and a particularly aggressive one.
Elspeth = leads the Misfits, even if she stands alone.
Donna Noble = superficially follows feminine stereotypes but really is a lot deeper.
Annie = ...have never watched Life on Mars :(
Willow = computer geek before it was accepted for girls to be good at computers and science.
John = ...no idea but i hear that Aeryn Sun is a subversion.
Toshiko Sato = same line as Willow.
Kaylee = open and comfortable with her sexuality, good at machines and the best mechanic Mal's seen.
Daniel Jackson = the "softer" and weaker one of the team that needed to be protected at first, academic focus, is only in the team to begin with because he's just after his wife.
Brenda = aggressive, brittle and the smartest one of the trio.

... honey you have put entirely too much thought into this and I love you for it. &hearts NOW WHAT DOES THIS ALL SAY ABOUT ME?? HAHAHA.

John = ...no idea but i hear that Aeryn Sun is a subversion.
I was so torn between John and Aeryn. I think I have two favourite characters in everything... the dorky one and the. other one. So it is difficult to choose.

Annie = ...have never watched Life on Mars :(
Well she's their first female detective, and is a lot better than some of them, so. Yeah. WATCH IT.

... you know, I was just going to say "moral compass" as another of my common threads and poke out Elf and Kate as sort-of-exceptions. Dameon is my tie with Elf, so it fits that way. And Manhunter doesn't really have a strong moral compass, they are all iffy. I guess Kate has a strong moral direction, but... well, we could argue about some of her ethics forever.

Basically YOU ARE TOO GOOD AT THIS.
