I had a previous livejournal account at some point, but I don't remember what it was. So I signed up again, mainly just to join communities here.
I've noticed lately that I have a pretty disjointed thought process, I'll try not to be too tangential in my journal entries, but I make no promises!
I'm still looking for a steady job that will actually give me some hours after the first 2 weeks or so (grr!) No luck on that front yet. I'm hoping to be able to go back to college soon. After much indecision, I think I have settled on a major that will suit me. The International Studies major seems to be the least boring in that it is comprised of several topics(anthropology, political science, history, economics, etc.) instead of just one, so it will hold interest longer than just one topic would. It will take a while to get through all the prerequisite garbage and start taking the classes that I really want, since I will have to work while taking classes when I can. *pouts*
Lately I have been paying more attention to news and politics. At times it's hard to watch but there are some moments that give me hope for a better future. I would like to help and change things, but I know it will be a long slow process...There is so much bickering and such going on right now it's ridiculous. Politics have become so divisive in the last 10 years(or maybe I just didn't notice before) that we can't get anything done. Neither side will agree on anything, no matter what. Politicians seem to be out for themselves now instead of doing what they should to help their country and the people they represent. It's very disappointing, and part of the reason I would maybe like to get into politics...
