We're having a craft fair at work and I thought it would be fun to have a table. It's free, and I love anything that promotes artisans. I'm trying to decide what to make.
Restrictions:
- Variety of price points
- No toys, I really don't want to be responsible for someone's child or pet choking
- Things law firm people will like
- Nothing that will embarrass me at work!
Ideas:
- Big fluffy knitted cowls - they work as a shawl, scarf, and hood. I have fuzzy dark purple yarn and lots of it. Would be good for the younger women, or for teenage girl gifts.
- Soap. Everyone likes to be clean.
- Pretty felted soap. Not sure if people would understand how awesome a felted soap is. (The wool continues to shrink as you use the soap and it exfoliates very softly when you use it. The soap foams through the felt.
- Simple earrings. I have lots of semi-precious beads - jade, freshwater pearls, moonstones, etc.
- Knitted baby hats. Small and cute.
- Cut felt flower pins. Waffling on them since I think they're a little out of fashion. Might be able to make them so adorable that they come back.
- Fabric grocery bags. Might have to buy fabric since my stash is a little gothy.
- Cuff links. I haven't made them before but I bet I can.
What do you think? Any items to suggest? Thoughts on the items above?
