Results Not Typical
With the new diet (South Beach) and the new thyroid meds, I am really doing well in my weight loss goals! I'm 87% of the way to my March 1st goal, and I think I'll probably make it. It's just the first in a series of goals, but I am so relieved to finally be making real progress and I'm feeling healthier than I have in a long time. Also, I'm on my last belt hole! Time for a new belt!!! And some new pants soon.
methuse is really helping amazingly. South Beach requires a lot of fresh ingredients, and it allows him to get creative and cook up some really delicious gourmet meals. I've made some good ones too, with the help of the quick/easy cookbook they published.
The Market of Mr. Fish
Speaking of fresh ingredients, I found the best little seafood market! It's called Mr. Fish, and it's in this cool corner space with big windows (Atlantic just before the Intracoastal, in Pompano Beach, for you locals). When I walked in, I noticed that they were playing soft piano music and their stock and prices were really really good. I got some beautiful fresh tuna, but almost took home a pound of the giant shrimp they had, too! And when the helpful guy packed my purchase up, he included a bag of ice to make sure it stayed nice and cold in the car. They make Publix look like a roadside shrimp stand on a hot August day.
Deadlines are Hard Work
I'm not where I wanted to be with my M3 project, but I do have all the stock photos I need (and am allowed to use, hooray!) and a good visual with a thumbnail sketch. Doesn't sound like much, but it's about halfway through the total work. I'll post tonight with something. Maybe just a log of my thought process, which some might find interesting.
