Thanksgiving
I just don't get Thanksgiving I guess. I think it might be my least favorite holiday. I spent it pretty much alone, again. Though, this year i spent an hour at my friend Val's... until her whole extended family arrived. I never even heard from my family, even though they said they'd call. Fuck this holiday. This whole *let's remind you of how we killed off all the native peoples and let's remind you of how we all have families* can just go away.
The best thanksgiving i may have had happened all at the end.... At night, after everyone was done stuffing themselves with their families, my guy Javi came over and we watched Straight, No Chaser (about Thelonius Spere Monk) and consecrated my handmade persian rug (which has never in my posession been used for romping!). THAT is something i send out appreciation for, that's for sure!
