Last Night and Tonight

Last night was fun. Fernando and I met up with Danny and Daisy in Burbank to have dinner at BJs. Fernando ordered a BBQ chicken sandwich and the beer sampler. I had the Santa Fe salad with blackened chicken and a pint of their Hef. Daisy ordered the Grilled Chicken pasta and a pint of the Blonde. Danny ordered the Cajun pasta with blackened chicken and the beer sampler. For dessert, we got the white chocolate/ macademia nut Pizookie. All slightly tipsy, we made the five minute drive to IKEA because how can you be within five minutes of IKEA and not stop by?

We got there about fifteen minutes before they closed and had a grand old time checking out the sample living rooms and kitchens. Picked up a clock for the bathroom and a lazy susan for the kitchen.

Plans for tonight? Relaxing at home. I get out of work at 4:30 today and have no tutoring to attend to. Fernando gets off of work at 7pm. We have plenty of leftovers in the fridge, so it looks like we'll finally we watching The Pursuit of Happyness tonight. When I was at Hollywood Video on Monday, they were having a $5 sale on movies, so I picked up Memoirs of a Geisha--which I love, and The Pink Panther--which isn't particularly great, but I remember it being funnier than I thought it would be and Fernando hasn't seen it yet. For $1 more than renting it, I can own it. Can't say no.

Fernando is going back to working on Saturdays (his days off will now be Wednesday and Friday), so I guess my plans for this Saturday are to spend some time with the parental units--probably watch Happy Feet again. Also, working on grandma's birthday present with Yolanda if possible. If I hang out with my family on Saturday, then we can spend some time with Fernando's family on Sunday.

Today is sooo boring. I asked Bryman Institute to send me information about their program in Medical Office Management. I don't know why other than the fact that my passion for my current job has sizzled. This job is worth the $12/hr I make, but I'm worth more than this job. Shoot, I get paid more per hour to tutor. I need to do THAT full time.
