You're doing awesome; I'm so proud of how you've taken the bull by the horns on this, and stuck to it absolutely even on the worst days. How much better you've been feeling on it shows that you're on the right track.
Once we get paid, I say we go through some recipes and make a nice meal at home to celebrate your 2-week point, and making it to phase II.
Oh, and don't forget that you can drink again. ;-)
Congratulations on the weight loss to date! You're doing great! Having mini-goals is a good idea. They really do help to keep you from getting too overwhelmed. Looking at the whole picture can be scary - scary enough to just give up. When I look at how long I will be without some of my favorite things, I start to think that I just can't do it. So instead, I look at today and tomorrow. I can't look at any other day or month or anything otherwise I start to think "Why should I do this? I have medication that works. I've been doing this for 9 years and nothing works like my medication and who knows if this new change is even going to work?" If I don't take my tiny little baby steps, I will sink.
Yes you are exactly right... I can't believe I'm about say this for all of cyberspace to read (or my entire friends list LOL ) But I have 196 lbs to reach goal... thats just a ton of weight to take off and to focus on all that just makes me want to sink into a whole and cry. But breaking it down to 25 lb increments is a lot better for me.
That's a very good way to do it (increments). I think a lot of people fail because they set their goals too high, the perfect weight, and so on. It's overwhelming. I set mine at 10 lbs. each time and kept telling myself that even if I don't lose anymore after that, at least I'll have shed 10 lbs. which I would not allow to get back on, and I would keep count of the goals rather than the pounds to make it less daunting. So, think of being 8 goals/steps away from your target weight, rather than 196. It may sound silly, but I think it helps
