Yah man, the contractors are already here to do the piling for the lift upgrading thing. Soon we'll have to pay for this stupid thing with our CPF!

Well, we should be thankful that they didn't increase it to 10% like in Indonesia and you just have no idea where the money goes....

Some other countries also have much more higher GST than Singapore...but as long as the government use it up properly...that's should be fine, i think....

yes it should be okay not only with 10% i think. even if its 25% like the scandinavian is okay too as long as they spend it wisely unlike the Indonesian, dun know where the moneys go.

at least we know that ours go toward helping the poors and probably can also help his wife for all the losses in Temasek (read US$700m in Shin Corp)!

If Opposition Wards don't get upgrading because they didn't vote for the PAP, shouldn't they also be exempt from the 2% GST hike? Same logic.
