Wow, 3 years?! It looks amazing! 2 was the only Mega Man game I played as a kid so it's especially nostalgic for me :)

Well, after some time he figured out I was working on the project as a gift. I was too excited about the project to hide it from him! (also, it would've been very hard to hide several thousand perler beads and pattern sheets while living together! :P)

I remember that game, and those villains! It took me years before I was able to beat Quick Man.

wow! these look amazing. i think they could be spaced farther apart because each one is so bold and colorful it can hold its own. (of course it also looks great as is!) did you make the patterns yourself too or were you able to find some?

Thanks! I agree with you, I'll definitely be moving them further apart because there is so much space on that wall that can be filled--and they are very colorful indeed!

I originally made patterns by taking a screenshot of the screen and dividing it up into sections, and putting each section into the "dark lilac cross-stitch generator" (a website that would generate pdf patterns for free) - unfortunately, it doesn't exist anymore but it was fantastic. It would even give you thread colors!

So yeah, I ended up scrapping the patterns halfway through though, and just resorted to blowing the picture of each boss up to fill a page and using one bead per pixel. (if that makes any sense!)
