With regards to Rock Band and Guitar Hero - why not one (or two) quotes that mean something to him (and/or you) from songs that you both like? It may be that they're not on the games (although Dragonforce Through the Fire and the Flames is on Guitar Hero 3 and my husband and I love that one so you could look at the lyrics for that if it's along the lines of what you're looking for) but if it's a song and he loves it then it'll work whether it's on the game or not (I'm a gamer and it always annoyed me that songs I love weren't on there lol)
For Candy Crush I can only suggest having the writing that you do surrounded by a border of candys - I bet you could google image the game and be able to transfer to cross stitch without too much trouble. Farm Frenzy I don't know, but if you've got loads of what you both love on there already then I would say you don't need to add everything :D

And although this may be a bit TMI, I am wondering if you know of any song on any Rock Band/Guitar Hero that could be considered to have a slight BDSM flair to it? That's a pretty big part of our lives, and I'd love to incorporate it in with the song as well.
