Mirkwood Yarn

Meet Mirkwood:

There was a greenish light about them, and in places they could see some distance to either side of the path. Yet the light only showed them endless lines of straight grey trunks like the pillars of some huge twilight hall.

This yarn started off as a Childremass batt, themed on (surprise) the cover of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. Upon which I have a huge crush. (This paperback cover, not Childremass, though maybe him, too.)

I still think it fits in the colors I see in JS&MrN, but as I was spinning it, it became Mirkwood.

Another fan-yarn I finished since I posted my intro is Thornmallow:

In Jane Yolen's "Wizard's Hall" her main character is a boy who is not very good at being a wizard. But he means well. And he tries. He helps save the day with those very attributes...

With hair the color and shape of dandelion fluff, gooseberry green eyes, and a smudgy nose, Henry is renamed "Thornmallow" for being "prickly on the outside, squishy within".

I took a bit of a blog-vid about this yarn being in process. At that account, there's also avideo on my Raven King yarn. Just chatty little snippits showing it mid-process.
