Bwah!
There won't be snow in Africa this Christmas time,
The greatest gift they'll get this year is geekchick.

I'm also rather fond of this one:
He knows if you've been bad or geekchick,
So be geekchick for goodness' sake.

Perhaps tonight I'll finally get around to putting up the full-size Christmas tree. (I have the
Charlie Brown tree set up in the office.) Christmas kind of snuck up on me this year; I haven't felt like doing any shopping (which is a pretty big sign of depression for someone like me who takes the phrase "retail therapy" quite literally), which is kind of okay since the gift exchange thing this year is going to be exceedingly small by necessity, and I haven't yet sent out cards. =/ Maybe tonight. Y'all don't mind getting cards post-Christmas, do you? My plan to boost festivity levels by putting up lights on our front porch was thwarted by virtue of that outlet apparently being one of the several in the house that is currently dead and in need of an electrician to diagnose the problem. =( Maybe I'll go drive around and look at other people's Christmas lights; we used to do that every year when I was little, and it still makes me happy. Maybe even shell out for
the Bull Run Festival of Lights ('ware the cheesy autostarting music) at some point, although I can see a lot of it from 66 on my commute home.
