It just came to me! I was sitting, knowing exactly what I wanted to do, but not quite how to do it. And, for once, I actually waited for something decent to come to me before writing. I usually just grab anything that comes to me and put pen to paper, but this works much, much better. Oh, and apparently 3am in near darkness and utter silence works best for my creativity :-p
Squee! So, anyway, I have just actually got started with a six-pager of the Project Raven comic, which Ian read, much to my reluctance, and liked.
It is basically loads of techno-babble - lolz.
The idea of the six-pager is that it acts as an 'origin issue' for Raven, describing the science behind her "powers", and how she came to be where she is in issue one.
So far so good... The techno babble makes sense, according to Ian, who is a total nerd so I trust his opinion, which is always a plus.
I have basically produced half of the script, up to the major turning point, typed it all up, and put it into panels. It is just half of a first draft, so I will definately be fecking around with it once the entire script is done, but for now, I prefer the comfort of knowing that I have placed the script into panels.
I also need to write all the sequential descriptions for the artist - i.e. Ian. Lots and lots and lots of action over the techno babble and arguments, so it might take a while. I figure that "they fight" wont do, and "he hits her and she hits back" is not that much better - hehe.
But, yes... I am on my way.
