Just a quick update on my creative endevours.
Project Raven (comic)
(See
here if you don't know what that is)
Ian is encouraging me to write a six-pager for Project Raven, to get my creative juices flowing.
I already have a plot laid out, and am in the process of writing it. It is quite challenging! The whole thing has a feck load of action in it, so I think that it will be a little difficult to script ("he hit her, and she kicked him" doesn't quite cover it :-p), but that is a good thing, because it will get me on the right channel, creatively, to script the main comic issues.
I also have an absolutely AMAZING artist on board, who,as I said before, sent me a few "basic concept sketches", which are superb. I just hope that my writing does his art justice.
Ian has also offered to CG the 6-pager, now, as it wont take much effort, which is great, because he is exceedingly talented.
Project Raven (series)
I have just got in contact with a lot of my old cast and crew, who are still interested, which is grood. I also have a few new people involved.
I am beginning scripting some character-key scenes so that I can get the main cast together to read through them and see whether they fit the bill, and how they do in fron of the camera.
Things are really moving - it's great!
Oh, and again, for those that don't know about the PR series, it is a live action depiction of my comic (that has yet to be made, funnily enough :-p), which is much more light hearted.
In a nutshell, the series is an action, comedy, sci-fi teenage drama. Buffy meets Dark Angel and Smallville.
Book, anyone?
Quite a few people, after reading my creative works, have suggested that I attempt to publicise myself. Unfortunately, I have never had the confidence.
However, in recent weeks, I have had a lot of support on that front from Ian, and a new close friend of mine (my cover artist on PR), John, who both believe that I have what it takes... And I believe them.
That in mind, I have decided to select some of my poetry and prose, do a little editing to make them neater, and compile them into book format, for publication through CafePress, or, more likely, lulu.com. My sister has also agreed to do the cover art for this, which I am very pleased for, because she is very talented, and, being my sister, I would love to get her involved.
Anyway, that is my creative update.
I will keep you all informed as best I can, if and when things happen.
