A Shakespeare Induced Nightmare

Gentlemen and Ladies alike, filing into a dim lit theatre, take their seats where ever they maybe. Through the darkness they peer uncomfortably, waiting for the show to start. When suddenly a Man appears, dressed in shadows. He stands to address this crowd, his audience. He says:

"Ladies and Gentlemen, please pardon the wait,
For surely this show works on all your fate.
Thy fear your death, and kill your fear
And think of things not quite so near.
To make light of lives so very dark
And wipe away Age's dreary mark
So sit and watch this wondrous play
And see how fears do fly away
But know one piece of information
So as not to cause an altercation
These Actors care for your lives no more
Than the man who sleeps with a street-bound whore
This stage seems real in all its splendor
Your imagination is its lender
But this is no more real than a dream
So please not real this theatre you deem
And now this play does start
You'll see your life to be apart."

This is the last thing the audience shall ever see. For all shall be dressed in shadows. All of them shall eat the dirt that rot. Goodnight.
