i saw alice!
yesterday i went to nyc to have playtime with alice. it was f-u-n. there were funny sketchy italian men in little italy, characters on the metro-- basically everything i go to nyc for.... plus, shopping! i got really cute longchamp flats, woo! but, these were some of the highlights:
-- so on the escalators in barney's it says "watch your children, watch your step, and watch your coattails" ... so obviously i thought it said cocktails... alice made fun of me
-- so alice and i were walking down fifth ave, and i turned to alice and said, "let's go to fao schwartz!" she agreed and as we were walking across the little courtyard thing, we saw EVA LONGORIA AND TONY PARKER! looked first cause i thought "those are cute sun glasses," but then i looked at alice and said "is.. that.. eva...longoria and... tony parker?" then we realized it was and it was awesome. sooooo awesome.
-- we went to sushi samba for dinner in the village and they had the best cocktails ever.
-- when we left the restaurant, alice wanted to get a cab back towards upper east, but she had promised me really good cupcakes, so i insisted on them. the moment she consented, there was a bolt of lightening, thunder struck, and then the rain started pouring down like in a monsoon. we were soaked running around the village looking for the cupcake place. alice was wearing this dress and kept stopping to ring it out. haha, i just jumped in puddles, it was fun =) we got the cupcakes and then played in the rain more. we ran around trying to catch a cab and finally got one so i could head home, and alice and i took funny pictures of us completely soaked.
