Sometimes I wish I wasn't a crazy person. Like I got my GT alumni magazine in my inbox today. And the front page article is "The 100 Books ever Tech grad should read before they die". And I don't know why those lists always rub me the wrong way. No, not in a I disagree with the choices kinda way, just that they're telling me what I need to read before I die. I mean, 100 hottest chyx lists, or 100 greatest movie or TV quotes, they're just saying, "Here is a list of things we think are so great!" But it just grinds my gears that someone is telling me what I should read or what place I should visit or what movie I should see (I'm looking at you, Sydney Pollack!) before I die. Its like, who are they to tell me what to do!?

And yes, I realize that's insane. I mean, those 100 sexiest videos or 100 greatest videos of the 90s things on VH-1, yes, if they phrased it as "The 100 sexiest videos you need to see before you die", that would totally piss me off, and I would rant on here or tweet or what have you on who the hell VH-1 thinks it is to tell me I need to watch these 100 videos before I die.

TV commentary:

Make It or Break It- Aw, I thought this was a ep full of poignant moments.
I'm kinda neutral on this Austin guy showing up, he's a little Poochie-ish at the moment. Also, I'm kinda confused if they're trying to pair him with Kaylee or Emily (or will that lead to a future triangle since the two characters don't interact that much). I mean, he has that love-hate thing going on with both of them, stronger with Kaylee at the moment, and he did share some truth with her at the end, but he's definitely pretty flirty with Emily also.

But aw, Payson temporarily quitting because Sasha says she can come back as an "artistic" gymnast. I knew she was mad/scared because she has esteem issues and doesn't think she's as graceful or as pretty as the other girls. But wasn't that story about the ice-capades and getting the prince role when she wanted to be a little princess one of the saddest things? She's kinda cute, they could at least give her a love interest or something to re-assure her, instead of her mom or her coach.

And ha, Lucille Bluth is Steve's mom. Lauren purposely tells her about Chloe so Lucille will invite her to dinner and the Kmetkos will come off as white trash and Steve will have to dump Chloe. But Chloe is all egg-cited because she thinks Steve is serious enough about her to introduce her to his mom, so she and Emily are on their best behavior. Of course, given Lauren's only mode is bitch, she tries to undermine them at every turn, finally revealing it was she who told her grandma about Chloe and even though Steve knew his mom was coming for weeks, he had no intention of introducing her. Emily is quick witted though, and manages to get her mom out of there gracefully, and Lucille recognizes Lauren for the bitch she is and calls her out on being trashy.

(And even though she seems to love her grams, does she secretly want her to die? She said the whole "Heh, if we're lucky, grandma will take one look at Chloe and have a heart attack!" not once, but at two different points! Its like, why do you want her to have a heart attack?!)

But at least Lauren feels thoroughly chastised for her behavior, and I do feel sorry for her at the end, even if she brought it on herself. (You know how big a sucker I am for those kinda girls) Its like, why is she acting all sad and surprised that they wouldn't invite her to hang out after the competition? She screws over Emily (I'm surprised Em hasn't figure out Lauren effed her over on purpose), steals Carter from Kaylee, and is nothing but a bitch all the time, I'm surprised the girls are still even talking to her!

Oh, but getting back to Steve and Chloe, I was skeptical when they first put them together, but I actually like that coupling now. I mean, I thought it was kinda sweet the way Chloe was reaming Steve out for his jerkiness, and he just realizes he does really love her, so much so that he finally does out their relationship to everyone. Heh, I wonder if Lauren and Em will eventually become step-sisters?
