Wow, its been a while since I've posted. Work has been keeping me busy, plus all the TV and video games and Transformers collecting. I haven't even posted about going up to New York for the holidays. Though it was pretty uneventful. Didn't go into the city or see a show for some reason. Pops was sick so didn't get to see any movies either. Between that and
7500centfish not even being around for NYE, ended up having New Year's at the Parentals. Delicious variety of food though.

Everyone was around for Christmas, usually one of the cousins has a shift or something. And
durlxnemesis's gf was visiting from Italy, so the fam got to finally meet her.

But yeah, after getting back to the ATL, just been crazy busy at work- having to interview and hire a couple of new people for my team, writing a proposal, plus with the Servicenow onboarding and Rich move out looming, have a bunch of stuff to do for that.

TV commentary:

CAOS- The weirdest thing about this season of Sabrina was all the musical numbers. Not that I have a problem with that, it just seemed out of nowhere. Definitely interesting to see where they're going with this. There's two Sabrinas now, one living a normal life and the other ruling hell. Its also weird how blase Sabrina is about the potential time paradox she caused. Sure, she's young, but she gives absolutely zero effs, which seems off.

But interesting how they've delved into different enemies as the show goes on. This season it was the pagans, next season it seems like they're taking on great old ones.

I don't like they killed Dorcas though or that they've pitted the Weird sisters against each other.

Doctor Who- Definitely curious what's going on this season! I mean, a new incarnation of the Master, which people theorized was a regeneration between Saxon and Missy. But with the reveal of the Ruth version of the Doctor, which is somehow in 13's past, all bets are off.

Also it was cool to see Captain Jack Harkness back after all this time.

Stumptown- Nice! Cool to see Dex continuing to do the bi thing, that its not just a box they check off and don't address again. I feel lesbian tumblr got annoyed by the whole Liz fake out. So Violet the hitwoman was a pleasant surprise. Also glad that she lived to potentially come back.

Criminal Minds- Heh, nice way to end things for that character. Its always fun to see Cat Adams, I like the dynamic she has with Spencer. And while I do enjoy RLC as his new love interest, it did venture into Mary Sue territory a little there. And you know how I loathe that term, so if I'm bringing it up, its a little bad.

Legacies- Awesome ep last night. Kai has always been a fun villain, so nice to seem him back, and I like how Josie held her own against him. But crazy ending though, Kai jumps through the Malivore pit to escape to the real world, Josie took in all the dark magic since that's the only way for her to get her and her family out, and Lizzie might possibly become a heretic? I'm 75% sure its a fake out though, that they made such a big deal about Sebastian dosing her with vampire blood, and her getting into an accident when Josie took in all that magic. Like back in TVD, they didn't draw it out, if Elena or Caroline were becoming a vamp, they showed it immediately. They didn't make you wonder until next week- they only did that if it wasn't happening.

But really, people trying to defend Sebastian? He dosed a teenage girl against her will and tried to turn him so she'd be with him forever! All, he has trauma. Still doesn't justify it.

The thing between Alaric and the students was also messy. Like its messed up he wanted to send Alyssa there when he was younger. No matter what she did, that's a effed up thing to potentially do to a little girl. Jade, Wendy, and Diego are teens and kids themselves, but still. Even if Alyssa was dangerous, not enough to condemn her to the prison dimension, particularly with Kai running around.

But yeah, I feel a little bad for Jade and Wendy, Alaric should have worked harder to get the truth and helped them. Like even if Jade turned off her humanity, his friends have done much, much worse, and he's given them a pass. Like Diego is nuts. Even if he's a werewolf with rage issues, some jocko makes fun of him, and he tears them apart?

With Wendy, it did seem like her immolating the one person was an accident, and I'm guessing they were all so freaked out she burned the remaining corpses to try and cover things up? And Jade accidentally ingested blood and turned into a ripper, killing the girl she liked, so that trauma made her turn off her humanity. But again, given the effed up things his best friend and the surrogate mother to his daughters did, he should've worked harder to get the truth. As it is, the prison world made Jade, Wendy and Diego worse than they prolly ever would have been.
