TV commentary:
The 100- Argh, pretty good ep, but they're going on a week hiatus after! Way to kill momentum.
Outside the barrier, Diyoza and Octavia continue to chase Xavier but he tricks them into some quicksand. Diyoza tries to mentor Octavia, who's still a mess. Xavier almost manages to get how many nightbloods there are from them, but a random space flare manages to give them respite. Xavier has to flee, but he does still leave them the rope to get out.
Only Octavia was in too deep because she kept struggling despite Diyoza telling her she's only making it worse for herself. So they agree that Diyoza needs to get out and take cover while Octavia goes under to protect herself. After the flare hits, Diyoza goes back for Octavia and manages to get her out of the quicksand (cool that they had the sand surface turn to glass, so Diyoza has to crack through it to rescue O) But its not like Octavia escapes unscathed- one of her hands is all withered now for some reason!
In Sanctum Josephine pretends to be Clarke to spy on the gang. Heh, its an interesting game of cat and mouse- she screws up plenty of times- writing right handed in front of Abby, who fortunately for her is so wrapped up in finding a way to save Marcus that she notices the weirdness, but Josephine is able to throw her off the track by giving her a book that may help Marcus. And Bellamy finally manages to trip her by talking Trig. Not that he gets to do anything about it, because as he soon confronts her and it clicks to him this means Clarke is supposedly dead she manages to knock him out with a drug injector.
But yeah, both sides manage to pick up info- Jasper manages to uncover Sanctum's little secret, that they figured out how to upload consciousness into "memory drives" (apparently the technical name for what the flame is) and certain people of the original settlers have been using it as a sort of immortality, implanting themselves in new bodies and supplanting the owners.
Only, since they don't know Clarke isn't Clarke, Gaia accidentally reveals Madi is a nightblood. But that's not even the biggest prize she finds out. While overhearing Jackson and Abby arguing, Josephine finds out about the Nightblood-making process.
Anyways, in the end, Josephine knows she can't keep the charade up, so she confronts Murphy and lets his suss out she's not Clarke. John gets angry and is about to out her when Josephine asks him if he wants to be immortal.
So like I said, we leave on this cliffhanger where the gang doesn't know Clarke has been replaced except for Bellamy, who's been knocked out, and John who will possibly turn traitor (or pretend to turn traitor), and thus don't know Josephine will be after Madi and the nightblood process. And we have to wait two weeks to find out!
