TV commentary:
Riverdale- Some changes this ep. So after Tom and Sierra announce they're getting married, they get a message from "the Gargoyle King" saying the Midnight Club must meet and finish ascension night, or else their kids will die.
So they do, only they can't find the chalices anywhere. But then Penelope finds a blood skull in one of the classrooms with "Got you!" spelled in blood. The parents realize that this was all a distraction to leave their kids exposed. Hilariously, except for Josie and Archie, who were just hanging out, the rest of the teens were busy fucking (Choni, Bughead, Reggie and Veronica, Kevin and Moose).
The parents reach all but Kevin and Moose, who are captured by the Gargoyle King's followers and forced to do the ascension ritual. Only the parents and other kids rescue them in time. Only its all a big fake-out, this "Gargoyle King" was really just Moose's dad who had a crush on Tom back in the day, and wanted to put a scare into the boys out of revenge.
And so Moose moves to be away for a while, and Tom and Sierra get married in a small courthouse wedding. And to no surprise, Archie and Josie kiss.
Choni- So Penelope blocks Cheryl from getting into her alma mater. So Cheryl is kinda annoyed. So annoyed that she's pretty blase in her attempts to help her friends, like Kevin, who's sad he can't be out with Moose. So Cheryl tries to force the issue by kinda outing Moose. I mean, she announces a blind item that someone is gay, but its pretty obvious to anyone that she's talking about Moose.
So Toni is mad, because that's not cool. Like she takes the issue personally because her uncle didn't approve of her, and the Serpents provided her with a family who would accept her, and now she doesn't even have that. She calls Cheryl out on causing chaos without thinking of the consequences to others. And so Cheryl is truly sorry and promises to make up for it, but she needs Toni's help. They blackmail Penelope (or rather threaten to blackmail her clients) into lifting Cheryl's ban at the college of her dreams.
And so Cheryl not only helps Toni score an interview at that college, she also creates a new girl gang for Toni, the Pretty Poisons.
Veronica and Reggie- so Hermoine says these two dolts need to make up the money that's owed to her benefactor. So Reggie robs his dad's dealership, gets a bullet graze, and a face full of dye. They go to the buyer to beg forgiveness, and lucky for them, its Gladys.
So needless to say, she's forgiving, but they have to not mention to Jug and FP that she had come into town wanting to buy into the fizzle rocks business.
The Jones- so after all this, Gladys and JB show up at FP's all, "we're staying for a while!" So the boys are happy. Only Gladys and JB are scheming, with JB all, she's got FP wrapped around her little finger since she's daddy's girl, and Gladys all, between him being the sheriff and Hermione as a silent partner, they're going to own this town.
