TV commentary:

Stranger Things- Endgame. So the group regroups at the Byers residence and tries to get info out of Will (whom Joyce drugged up so he wouldn't reveal where they are). Knowing he's a spy for the creature, they create a safe room to interrogate him. And it almost works, if not for that stupid random phone call they sometimes get. The phone rings, and the Shadow sends the Demo dogs there. They brace for a fight, but luckily Eleven shows up and saves them.

Its a nice reunion, though Mike gets pretty pissed at Hopper for hiding Eleven. Anyways, they actually did get info from Will, who had been secretly communicating with them through morse code so the Shadow wouldn't know. He tells them to close the gate. And now that they have Eleven, they can. That will also kill all the Demo-dogs once the link is severed, but the problem is it will also kill Will.

Joyce, remembering how much whatever was possessing Will hate the heat, comes up with a plan to heat up Will to drive the creature out. And once they do, Eleven can close the gate. So Hopper and Eleven head to the Institute to close the gate as soon as they hear Joyce, Jonathan and Nancy have burned the shadow out of Will. Steve stays behind with the rest of the kids at the Byer's residence.

Eventually Mike, worried about all the Demo-dogs Hopper and Eleven will have to face, comes up with a crazy idea. They go into the tunnels, and start burning them, to draw the Demo-dogs to them, at which point they'll exit out, and hopefully Eleven will have closed the gate by then.

Steve is totally against it, which is when Billy shows up. He threatens Lucas, beats on Steve, until his sister injects him with the sedative they were using on Will. Before he passes out, Max threatens him with the nail bat, warning him to never hurt her or her friends again. They steal his car and drive to the tunnels, enacting their plan and clearing the path for Eleven. As they escape, one of the dogs blocks their way out, but luckily its Dart. Dustin did bond with it, and it lets them go after being fed a Three Musketeer's bar.

Joyce gives her the okay to close the gate once Will is free, which Eleven does, Hopper covering her from the Demo-dogs when they returned.

Cut to a month later. Nancy and Jonathan's plan works- Barb's parents get closure, and the Institute is finally shuttered. Dr Owens turns out to be a good guy- he gives Hopper a birth certificate for Eleven, under the name Jane Hopper. He suggests they lay low for another year, but Hopper asks if its okay to let her go out for just one night.

Why? Because its the Snow Ball Mikey wanted to take Eleven to. They meet up and kiss. So do Lucas and Max. Dustin, who has been taken under Steve's wing, gets a new hairstyle, but alas, its not enough to get any play. Which is really sad, until Nancy gives him a dance, making the other girls jealous and telling him girls are stupid at his age, and eventually when he gets older they'll change their tune.

Its a sweet ending, though we see in the Upside Down the creature is hovering over the analog to the high school. It can't get to them, but it still seems to have designs on them.

OUAT- Heh, that's totally my aesthetic! Ivy is tasked with watching Lucy, who gives her the slip. Throughout the ep, we see there is a little bit of jealousy there with Jacinda. That she already has a nice guy like Henry wanting to be there for her and her kid, even if they say they're just friends.

Since Jacinda has work and can't find Lucy herself, Henry teams up with Ivy, and shows her some niceness. In the end, after they find Lucy, she and Jacinda ask Henry to stay for dinner and festivities. But he chickens out, instead going to Roni's for a drink. Where he meets Ivy and they share a drink. And I kinda ship it. You know how much I love the brunette (sometimes neurotic) ice queen getting the nice guy who breaks through her walls.

Anyways, this ep also illuminates up what went on with Rumpel. He and Belle actually live a long and happy life raising Gideon. The problem is, being the Dark One, he's immortal, and is unable to join her in the afterlife until he breaks the curse. Gideon offers to take the evil of the Blade so he can die, but Rumpel won't do that to another son. Instead, he learns he has to seek a Guardian who will quell the Darkness so he can be freed and join his true love.

On this quest, he meets Alice the day of the ball, I guess she ends up being the one to help him?

Back at Hyperion Heights, Alice's counterpart, Tilly, attacks Victoria in her car, saying she's on the verge of figuring everything out. She maces Tilly, and tells Weaver to get her to take her meds. Weaver has his own agenda though, but unfortunately, he thinks he does need to give her her meds to make her think clearer so she can tell him what he needs instead of ranting like a crazy person. He doesn't realize her insane rants are what he needs to hear.

She eventually takes him to a secret place, which contains Chip, but that's still not enough to wake him. So she shoots him, saying he told her to do that. That possibly wakes him up, as he sees a vision of Belle in the hospital room.

Hook wonders is they should arrest Tilly, but Weaver asks him to cover it up. Tilly feels horrible, thinking she messed up bad, but Hook tells her Weaver vouched for her. Victoria visits Weaver, who secretly menaces her, calling her "Dearie". So hopefully he's awake, because its about time someone knows who they really are.

once upon a time, tv, stranger things
