TV commentary:
Gotham- So they followed up on that from last season.
Butch gets dumped into Slaughter Swamp, and arises as Solomon Grundy, joining up with Nygma. You know, I thought Butch was like stocky, but not all that tall, though I guess he's at least 6'3", which is still short for someone playing Grundy, but taller than average for actors, so he still comes off bigger.
But yeah, Ed decides to put Butch's new powers to use and takes him to an underground pit fighting ring. Where Leslie is apparently a boozing ring doctor.
Supernatural- Dean's kinda a dick!
I mean, I get they keep on facing hardship, and sure Jack is indeed the son of Lucifer. But man, he can't even acknowledge the possibility that Jack could be good? Hopefully Dean happening upon Jack stabbing himself will get Dean to calm down.
We do finally meet the final prince of hell. I guess he's temporarily taking over since Lucifer is gone (looks like the demons don't know he got shunted to an alternate dimension), wanting Jack to be found and groomed to take his father's place on the throne.
Well, that, and he wants Jack to open some pit that houses the worst of hell's creations, so horrible that they were locked away.
Arrow- How does that make sense?
So Ollie's son is worried that one day he'll never come back from crime fighting and he'll be all alone. So Oliver is all, "Guess I have to retire!" and appoints Digg to take over the mantle.
Which, if the whole reasoning is, "The Arrow should retire so his son won't be an orphan!" what about Diggle's kid? Sure, he has two parents, but Lyla is also in a dangerous job! So basically Ollie is all, "Don't want to leave my kid fatherless, but here Digg, you totally risk your life and possibly make you child fatherless instead!"
But we find out what was up with Digg's hesitation. It wasn't PTSD, he caught some shrapnel in the explosion he was caught in, and now he has a tremor. He just didn't want to say anything because he felt it was no big deal after Ollie's baby mama died and Thea was in a coma.
Only, as Dinah says, it is a big deal, because they're trusting their lives to him, so if he can't shoot properly, he can't be in the field with them. So hopefully Dinah says something about it when Ollie tells the rest he wants Digg to take over if Digg doesn't do so himself!
