TV commentary:

Dirk Gently- Damn, poor Dirk (and Ken!) I am amused at Friedkin being a total moron though, just not getting it. As Dirk tries to tell him, his "gift" isn't active, so these tests are pointless. But Friedkin just sits their dumbly, disappointed Blackwing isn't as cool as he was thinking it would be.

But like I said, poor Ken has it worse, because he has no powers. But Friedkin can't believe it, because how the hell has he survived contact with Bart for so long. After all, everyone else who runs into her dies.

Speaking of, Bart runs into another person she hasn't killed. Handicapped housewife Suzie. She's in a sad situation, married to a jerk, and with a bratty prick for a son, and a rude shady boss. Well, said boss gets killed by a mysterious guy, who also directs his men to sacrifice poor Suzie to demons or something.

Well, her luck turns when Bart shows up, killing Suzie's captors. Unfortunately, Suzie gets kinda freaked out by Bart's craziness, leading Bart to get threatening. So Suzie takes a chance, quickly grabs the book and wand the bad guys were going to use on her and ends up managing to blast Bart and escape. Guess this is prolly the new case of the season.

Well, part of it, there's also some alternate medieval dimension where some guy embarks on a quest to find Dirk and free the kingdom from an oppressive regime or something.

Luckily, it looks like Dirk manages to escape in the end, thanks to a mysterious shape-shifting... creature? And not like a lycanthrope, actual shifting shapes from balloons to cups to pieces of paper to people.

Now he just needs to connect back with Todd and Farah. Todd's kinda obsessed with finding Dirk, and Farah is just sad at what's happening with Todd. But Todd needs this. Not to help him fix his disease- Todd thinks he deserves to be succumbing to it after all he did. But he need to save Dirk, needs to find his sister.

Who is on the run with Vogle, trying to find the rest of the Rowdy 3. Amanda is getting visions though, trying to interpret them in the hopes of finding everyone else.

Discovery- Weird! Its kinda funny seeing Mark and Angel together. So I guess they confirm Stamets is indeed gay, and he's with the ship's doctor.

Anyways, interesting ep, since they bring Harvey Mudd into all this. And heh, it sounds like a lot of people were offended Lorca left him behind on the Klingon ship.

It was amusing that Lorca was just ordered by Starfleet to cut back on the jumping, because they don't want to stress the tartigrade and lose what they have. And he gets captured on the way back to the ship. So Saru is all, "We must jump a bunch to find him!"

Michael tries to convince him that the Tartigrade is sentient, and the process is killing it. She at least manages to convince Stamets of the issue.

The jump taking them to the ship where Lorca I seems to tax the Tartigrade to near death. So the doctor and Michael try to tell Saru that the thing will die if they try to jump again. But Saru isn't having it. Unbeknown to him, when they go to jump out of there after the Captain shows up after making his escape, Stamets takes the injection he, Michael and Tilly came up with to make another species compatible with the system.

So the Discovery escapes, though it takes its toll on Stamets. And later, his reflection stays in the mirrors even after he leaves.

It is an interesting development though. As Saru said, and as we know about the ST universe, Eugenics is outlawed. However, I wonder how willing Starfleet is to overlook that pesky little detail. I mean, finding Tartigrades was one of the hurdles to distributing the spore drive to the rest of Starfleet. But if they can just inject people or other things to serve as the drive's brain, they might go with that.
