I mean, they brought back Heroes, they're bringing 24 (again!) and Prison Break next season, so if you can bring back old TV series, you can bring back old web series. I guess its only now that youtube is old enough that people can start being all retro by restarting old web series like that.
TV commentary:
Orphan Black- Hmm, so next season is the final season. That's sad, but since they know ahead of time, they will hopefully do a good job of resolving things.
Anyways, heh, amusing ep, showing why Krystal is my second favorite clone after Ali.
It was just funny to see her and her friend at the bar, Krystal acting all high and mighty and knowing over the Brightborn stuff being discussed on the news on the telly. But then she sees that Van Lier guy talking about how he's taking over after Evie Cho's dismissal, and she immediately calls Felix because she has info.
We see that when Delphine was in the garage, Krystal was hiding behind a car, I guess spying on her? And we find out that it was a earmuff-less Duko who shot Delphine. He was about to finish her off when Krystal's phone went off, and lucky for Krystal, a mysterious van shows up, scaring Duko off. Who was in it? Van Lier, who takes Delphine and starts treating her.
So Krystal goes to meet Felix in the comic shop, where she refuses to fess up unless she gets more answers. So he takes her to the basement where Sarah and Art are waiting to induct her to clone club. Hilariously, Krystal doesn't see the resemblance. In any case, she tells them what she knows, and also says this whole thing is about two groups vying for power.
And again, its funny, because you see Felix and Art's faces and they're all like, "Wait, she's actually right!" Of course, she think its between Neolution and Estee Lauder, so again, while she's been doing an amazing investigative job, she gets as much wrong as she gets right. But it totally amusing that she still manages to find out more on her own than all of Clone club.
But yeah, with Evie on the outs, and Cosima and Susan getting the data they needed, there's a power struggle happening. Neolution's board wants Evie to go quietly, but she refuses, so Van Lier ends up scanning her cheek with a device which I guess activates the kill feature on the slug in her cheek. So, alas, Evie is toast.
Anyways, power struggles and betrayals abound. Susan betrays Clone Club, intending to use the research to get back in with Neolution. But Rachel (who's reunited with Ferdinand) betrays Susan, making her own deal with the Board, and talking about her plan to combine clone and the robot-slug technology to usher in new age of scientific discovery or whatever.
So, she goes back to the island, and Sarah disguises herself as Krystal to get a sit down with Van Lier by mentioning Delphine's name in the middle of a press conference. He meets with her, and she and Mrs. S strongarm him for some answers and the location of the island.
And a good thing too that she's hot on Rachel's heels, because Rachel has gone bonkers. She ends up stabbing Susan after her mother berates her, and Cosima and Charlotte end up trying to flee for a boat. Sarah and Rachel end up in a huge fight when they meet back up, and its a freaking cliffhanger where Rachel manages to stab Sarah's thigh and get her gun and chase her off.
As for Cosima and Charlotte, they almost freeze to death in the woods, but luckily they're found by that mysterious man Rachel was seeing in her cyber eye. He ends up reuniting her with Delphine. Its interesting, like what is his deal? I mean, he saves Cosima, but I wanna say he also encouraged Rachel's coup. Like when Rachel shows up back at the house to confront Susan, he tells Rachel to "have the strength to do what needs to be done!" That makes me think he wanted her to do what she did.
Other stuff, Alison and Donnie are busy hiding out in Helena's little hut in the woods. So they don't get to do much. And no sign of MK either. Owel, like I said, hopefully since they know ahead of time its the final season, they can come up with a nice resolution to the series. But part of me feels 10 eps isn't enough!
