TV commentary:
NCIS: LA- Hmm, interesting story this week. Plus, the Densi moments were pretty cute.
Heh, I like how the beginning scene, they hide the shotgun guy's face first, like you wouldn't know it was Nate from all the promos. And obviously Nate was still a good guy. Since he was formerly team psychiatrist, it was interesting to see him transition into undercover work.
Obviously, they were worried, since he's never been as bad-ass as the rest of them. But he's also smart, so it confused them why he would bite off more than he could chew. Which as they revealed the chance to trap the heads of three very powerful organizations was just too lucrative to pass up. I mean, Nate learned a lesson about taking risks, and was appropriately chastised at the end for taking such a risk, even if it ended up being a big pay off. When he thought this was pointing to him not being cut for UC work, Hetty (and I guess Callen too earlier) tells him its a constant learning experience. In the future, he knows not to be so foolish, even if things did pay off greatly this time.
Castle- Heh, I love this fantastical world Castle takes place in.
Things that actually exist in the Castle universe: laser guns, invisibility suits, and Alexa analogues that are more akin to "Her". Things that are implied to exist in the Castle universe: time travel, alternate dimensions where Castle and Beckett never worked together, and now freaking magicical genies. That's hilarious. Though I'm sure this level of fantasy must frustrate some viewers who dislike this straying from realism. But whatever, if you've watched this show for this long, you know what its about! Just roll with it.
Gotham- Ha, did they just rip off South Park?!
Penguin pulls a Cartman and tricks his stepmother into eating her own children. And amusingly enough, even though he killed two people, grinded them up, cooked them, and then tricked their mother into eating them before slashing her throat, people were more upset that he killed the dog by testing the poisoned brandy on it!
But hey, Gordon clears his name and exposes Nygma as Riddler. Still, since he actually did kill Galavan and then cover it up, its still kinda sketchy for him to get Barnes to apologize to him. Barnes is all, "I'm sorry I thought you were a murderer!" Technically, Jim is, just not of the person he thought he murdered. And basically, Jim is kinda exonerated of that too! Because he was wrongfully framed, now people don't care about the previous murder!
And interesting, Bruce has been living on the streets with Selina for a while, but has to go back to Alfred when a wounded Jim shows up at Selina's doorstep. Anyways, now that they're reunited and the business with Jim being framed is done, Alfred informs him that Lucius fixed the computer. Bruce wants to bring Selina in, but Alfred says no. Not because he distrusts Selena, but because if they bring her in this, they're basically painting a target on her back too. Which, given she's a known associate of Bruce, and the fact that he's gotten her to help with stuff before in front of board members, its not like she's not in danger already.
So he sends her away, and she's totally hurt, thinking he's dumping her like common street trash now that he's had his fill of slumming it.
Anyways, in the end, Gordon says he's not ready to rejoin the force just yet, not until he finds out who hired Matches to kill Bruce's parents. Barnes will give him the files, iff he calls Lee, who's apparently down in Atlanta. Jim does, but can't find the words and hangs up before she knows its him. And then who comes knocking on his door? Barbara, who has recently been freed from the asylum, simply because Strange wants to see what happens.
Also, Jim's pretty nonchalant about it. Like I get he's surprised, but given the circumstances the last time they met, I'm surprised he didn't draw a gun on her, worried she escaped and is after him.
