Lost Girl- Series finale!
Heh, they were really pulling back old characters for these last few eps! I mean, an ep or two ago they had Bo's former nursemaid from way back in one of the earlier seasons, this time, its Bruce. He ends up using his strength and resilience to help the gang get out of the house, Bo having also called him. Which I forgot to say last ep, but you know this whole time I didn't realize it was a house? I always thought it was like an apartment in a building!
Bo did have a plan (the horseshoe apparently protected the gang), but her father was on to her since he knew she didn't kill Tamsin when he makes her feed on the valkyrie. He does manage to break her and force her to feed on the city so he can replace the souls of the fallen with ones he can control. The horseshoe again protects the gang (who are with Vex and his party bus, but sans Bruce), who start to think maybe Bo didn't have a master plan and just turned evil. Kenzi has unwavering faith though. Indeed, Tammy eventually shows up, Bo having slipped her a key to escape with a kiss. So they know she hasn't fully fallen yet, given the gang time to snap Bo out of it.
Anyways, long story short, Bo defeats her dad, though she didn't have to break out any blood king powers, like I thought she would have to. I guess all the talk of being her grandfather's granddaughter just meant she possessed the capacity for good as well as the evil inherited from her dad.
But yeah, Tamsin gives birth, and dies. Kenzi ends up raising the baby (who grows up to be Maya from Degrassi) in the human world to protect her. Bo gets back together with the Doc, and Dyson I guess will wait in the wings for Lauren to die of natural causes? He does end up the new bartender at the bar, and we find out Bo changed their colony around so no one has to choose. Also, Mark eventually becomes a cop, and he and Vex become a thing? But they don't like kiss or anything, they just like hold hands, and Mark says he chose him, so I'm not sure there's any other way to read that other than they're a gay couple now.
Anyways, we end kinda on a cliffhanger, I guess setting up new adventures will never see. Looks like Tamsin's daughter has her father's mark on her, and it looks like some plan of his is starting. So the gang has to thwart whatever that is. But as I said, that's a story for another time.
The Leftovers- Hmm, some interesting stuff this ep.
Finally the timeline progresses. Heh, I didn't even think about how Nora would react when Kevin wasn't there after the earthquake. As expected, she freaked the fuck out think there was another disappearance.
If Patti is to be believed, it was, but just the three girls. Also, platform guy can possibly see her. (Or, he was just reacting to Kevin talking aloud to himself like a madman) But ha, in the end, Nora wants Kevin handcuffed to her when they sleep. Which sounds crazy, but hey, he has been sleepwalking and doing crazy things in his sleep, so maybe handcuffing himself to someone will finally give them some answers.
Heh, interesting though- he leaves his handprint on the car window, and they may eventually figure out its him. But for now, John thinks the existence of a handprint points to an actual person taking the girls. And he thinks its Isaac, so as he's driving Kevin home from the search, they make a detour to kick Isaac's ass. John does get shot for his trouble, though its only a minor wound, not enough to stop him from trying to beat Isaac to death with a bat. But luckily Kevin is there to pull John off him and call his wife to patch him up.
They talk, and the conclusion all the main characters come to is the girls definitely departed.
