TV commentary:
Powers- Ah, that was a interesting twist.
So the implication last ep was that Johnny was withdrawing blood from Wolfe to make Sway. But it was amusing that its what caused Wolfe to be able to escape his bonds and start slaughtering guards. They were lobotomizing Wolfe to keep him contained, but as Triphammer explains, powers are like a muscle, put too much hurt on him and his healing factor starts working harder, faster than they can damage him. So, they had him on a schedule to prevent that from happening. But, Johnny fucked that all up by inflicting damage they weren't accounting for.
So, the Powers division is sent to contain Wolfe, but most of them get killed. Like what the shit, Walker was all, their only hope is to just cause a lot of damage on him to slow him down until they can herd him into the room with the drainer. So shouldn't they be like carrying quick, high damage weapons like battle rifle caliber automatic carbines or semi-auto/auto shotguns? The one chick was carrying a freaking crossbow, and another just using twin 9mms! Like, I get crossbow chick was all, she used it to take down some famous power, but it seems useless against a guy like Wolfe! Like wouldn't they be all, "Hey, carry a real weapon!"
I mean, if Wolfe is bad-ass enough that EVERYONE had a Wolfe nightmare, shouldn't they be taking this seriously. And what the shit Walker? Yeah, it really sucks that he lost his powers, but there were people depending on him in there. While he was busy playing the martyr all, "All this death is my fault for not killing him when he asked me too!" (Interestingly enough, Johnny also blames himself, telling Callista he feels responsible as well for not being able to finish off Wolfe), his colleagues were getting eaten!
Heh, it was fortunate that Wolfe was out of it, because when Christian locked Deena in a cell to keep her safe to confront him alone, Wolfe thought he was a prisoner too, and thought they were trying to escape together.
The whole Powers having PR firms is interesting. Like Zora wanting to go down there and take Wolfe on to get some cred. Her agent advised her against it, which, I realize if you have powers, you prolly think you're hot shit in a champagne glass. But I think you should have some idea of your capabilities. Again, they implied Wolfe was the big bad of that world. Like a freaking evil Superman, a real life boogeyman that haunts everyone. I don't think anyone but a nutcase would want a piece of him. And wait, did they indicate earlier that Christian's ex-partner's wife was one of those Powers PR people, and I just didn't notice? Or is this the first time revealing her job?
