TV commentary:
Glee- Pretty good ep tonight, particularly for Brittana fans though. Looking through tumblr during the show, I think part of the reason the show's popularity declined is the fanbase is so divided. There's so many characters that people love- even though the show is in decline, its no surprise its the biggest category in the TV section of ff.net (Supernatural is catching up though, but its still behind by 3000!). People still write stories about the characters long after they've stopped watching the show. But, I think for everyone that loves a particular character, there's one that loathes them.
Like last night, as I said, I thought it was a great ep. But jeez, reading these posts, the fandom is all over the place. You have the Brittana fans cheering throughout, and Klainers all, "Ugh, fast forward" and "Of course Brittana always gets the screen time, when is it going to be our turn?" Um, last week, when the ep was full of Klaine and no Brittana, where you had the above comments reversed, and it was the Brittana's fans claiming they get nothing and are treated like shit compared to Klainers. Its like the fans that are still around are so damn needy. Can't you guys share the show with the other fans? It can't be your favs all the time.
Not to mention the wide spectrum of feelings for each character. Like you have people being all, "Yes, Rachel, flawless!" and "I love when Blaine plays the piano" and others being all, "Fuck that bitch, ha ha, you got what you deserved!" and "Ugh, of course its the Rachel and Blaine show". Its like, yes, they get a lot of songs, but they don't monopolize the time as much as people think. Rachel is either a sweetheart who deserves love, or a self centered bitch who needs a comeuppance. Or Santana and Brittany. You have the lesbians loving the representation, but then there's those few who just can't get over Santana being a bully and a bitch sometimes. Or feel Brittany's goofiness is stupid and unwatchable. And I think one of the ways the show failed is that it catered to everyone, and that just pissed everyone off because they didn't feel they got enough representation, and the characters they hated got too much. Which is BS.
But I've ranted enough, on to the actual ep. Its a Burt Bacarach special!
So plot A, the upcoming Brittana nuptuals. Well, first, we find out how Brittany is kinda a secret genius- her parents are played by Chang and Stifler's mom. Only, they're not the brightest bulbs in the box. Brittany's mom reveals she had an affair with Stephen Hawking, and he's her real dad.
Anyways, Brittany hires Artie to be the wedding planning, and he asks her for themes she has in mind. Things like "scissors" and "tuna" (snuck in by Lord Tubbington). But "heaven" works, which leads to a
rendition of "Wishin' and Hoping" done by Brittany and the boys:

Its a dream sequence, so Artie can dance (which apparently offended some people). Its a cute little number.
Anyways, Santana and Brittany get to talking, and Santana expresses sadness that her abuela isn't coming and still hates her. So, Brittany secretly friends San's grams (who ha, is played by the head of the Calaveras in Supernatural. Also, Jane the Virgin's abuela. That's kinda funny that she and Santana have the same abuela) and gets her to like her. Along the way, she apparently gets a deal for a Spanish language version of Fondue for Two (Queso Por Dos, which people got mad since it should be Queso Para Dos) on Univision.
So, she gets her to the auditorium, where Santana sings

Her abuela thinks its nice, and is happy to see her. But then when Britt reveals she and Santana are getting married, she's pissed again, saying their behavior is sinful. And so Britt
epically tells her off. And Santana is fine with her abuela not being there, because while she doesn't have her love, she has a lot more of it from Brittany and her friends.
The othe plot involves Mercedes trying to get Rachel back on Broadway and weighing in on Samchel. So Sam and Rachel are all awkward each other now as an after effect of Sue hypnotizing Sam to seduce Rachel. Which, I'm annoyed some people are saying he only likes her because of the hypnosis. No, I think he was attracted before. Like he said, he likes her cute butt, and anyone who's seen one of Lea Michele's bikini candids will agree, it is a pretty cute little butt. But, he was with Mercedes (and Britt) and she used to have all that Finn stuff going on, and then he died and she was in mourning. I think Sue forcing the issue highlighted feelings the two of them could have, so I don't think he's only into her because of the hypnosis.
Anyways, they secretly sing their feelings to themselves in a duet of
"I'll Never Fall in Love Again":

Then Mercedes shows up, wondering what's up between them. She tells Rachel she's totally find with it. But Sam's torn between them. He ends up serenading Mercedes with

Which I'm sure annoyed the Samchel fans who saw he was doing this song before hand and assumed it would be for Rach. And the Brittana fans, since the scene started with them, and thought it would be like "It Must've Been Love" last week where someone's singing in the background but they would be the focus.
In any case, Mercedes says they're just friends now, and she thought he'd be knee deep in chyx by now. But nope, he's stayed loyal. And while she thinks its sweet, she doesn't want him to do that- in fact, she's dating a nice guy already, and says while she would be a little jealous of Rachel, she still wants him to get back out there. (which again, is used by the anti-Samchel folks to be all, "See, he's only interested in Rachel because Mercedes told him to!") And so he and Rachel finally agree to a date.
Meanwhile, Mercedes sees Rachel and is sad that she seems to have given up on her Broadway dreams. Like, its cool she's helping ND, but she needs to get back out there. (I'm kinda annoyed she didn't mention that she promised Kitty she'd stick around) So Mercedes does what they always do on this show, try to convince people in song. First, Mercedes gets Rachel to sing along with her and the girls on "Baby Its You" (no official link available). When that doesn't work, she gets the boy to sing
"Arthur's Theme" to her:

And what do you know, Spencer finally gets a solo part. I don't think we've gotten to really hear him alone, other than that one verse in the second ep, which sounded a little off key. But this is more Roderick and Mason's song. It does bring back fond memories of NYC (The greatest city in the world!!) to Rachel. But she confesses to Mercedes she's too scared to fail again. But after a pep talk, Rachel hops a quick flight to NYC for the audition Mercedes got her, where she does

She thinks she does well, though we don't hear the results. In the end, the gang gets together to basically invite themselves to the wedding, all, even if Santana's real family can't come, she has her Glee family. And so they sing
"What the World Needs Now" to the happy couple:

Heh, did they really have a fake Emma at Schue's place?!
