TV commentary:

The Mentalist- Okay, that was kinda obvious! With Patrick talking to Mr Friendly from Lost about a favor, when the DEA guy got a call from someone claiming to be working for some Representative, it was obvious it was some sorta con!

But what the hell, tonight's ep was light hearted, and then next week someone is going to die?! Like I said earlier this season, my money was on Vega, since she's the new girl and it would make Cho and Wylie all sad. But the end of this ep, I'm not so sure. I mean, Abbott is set to leave, and he's putting Cho in charge. So, I can see either of them actually being offed- like you think Abbott is set to leave for Washington and a new life, but nope he dies! Or everyone focused on Cho's new circumstances, only for it to be moot because he dies. I still put my money on Vega, but now I'm not as sure I was.

Criminal Minds- Holy crap, I can't believe they did that!! They freaking killed Gideon off, off screen! And given Mandy Patinkin's disdain of the show after he left, obviously he wouldn't reprise the role, so it was kinda hilarious how they just kept the body covered, even having the ME be all "Oh, out of respect, I kept the body covered!" HA!!

But heh, I saw Ben Savage's name in the credits, and thought, I guess I could see him as a serial killer. It was right as they went into flashback mode that I realized, "Oh, he's going to play young Gideon!" and sure enough, he did! But wait are they saying in the CM universe, Rossi is the originator of calling a signature a signature!?

And what the shit, did Rossi straight up murder a guy? He had the guy dead to rights and captured, but then he put his gun down and basically let the guy draw at him so he could kill him? What is this, Justified?!

Arrow- Oh, come off it people! Yes, its screwed up that they still haven't told Detective Lance his daughter is dead, but no, it is not "wrong and disrespectful to Sara's memory" to have Laurel use the voice changer to sound like Sara. I swear, some of these people are using any excuse to hate on Laurel. I do like she was less competent then she was last week, because, she's still learning. I mean, Laurel doesn't have the training the others have, but she's starting to hold her own.

I also find it silly that they're all, "Oh, your sister was in the League of Assassins! There's no way you can replace her!" And before the Island Ollie and Sara were just a couple of rich white kids. Laurel hasn't been broken to the point they were, but they're all cut from the same cloth, so its possible for her to get there.

But anyways, the case of the week, Brick kidnaps some Aldermen to hold them hostage unless the police vacate the glades. Team Arrow sans Ollie and Felicity but with Laurel attempts a rescue, but its botched, with Brick executing one of the hostages for Roy shooting him with an arrow. So, they're feeling down, but Felicity eventually comes around, that saving people just wasn't Ollie's mission, its their's now too. There are people who need saving, and they have the means to do it.

So they rescue the Aldermen, but the Mayor still caves to Brick's demands to pull out of the Glades. But Team Arrow is back in action. And Felicity is also helping Ray with his suit because he's going to do it anyway and she's back to thinking its a noble cause, so with her help, maybe it won't be suicide.

Other stuff- Malcolm keeps trying to get Thea to leave with him, but Thea's all, "won't they still be after us no matter where we go?" and how her other father never backed down from a fight, so they shouldn't either. So they're staying. Heh, that end scene, when they had DJ boy sticking around the club to talk with Thea even though the Glades are being abandoned by the cops, I realized that's totally suspicious, even if he was trying to get in her pants. So I figured out he was part of the league about a minute before they revealed it.

Weirdly, he was communicating with Maseo about Malcolm not leaving the city, when Maseo spent the episode hiding Ollie from the League, and then slaughtering the other Assassins that show up and hiding their bodies, making it look like Ollie attacked them all and escaped, only wounding Maseo. Ollie and Tatsu beg him to not return to the League, because its too dangerous, but he will not be dissuaded.

In the Flashback portion- Maseo trades that dangerous thing they recovered in the previous ep for Tatsu, only its a fake, so China White thinks he's double crossing her. They all escape, and Ollie is all, "Whew, you should've told me you were just fooling her!" and Maseo is all, "Um, yeah, I was totally going to trade that stuff for my wife, because I choose her over some randoms I don't know." and he thinks Waller realized he would to that, and thus switched it out before he stole it.
