TV commentary:
Lost Girl- Heh, so we finally see Hades.
And he's played by Eric Roberts. That's an interesting choice. Anyways, the Ancients invite the gang to a party in Bo's honor- Z gives her the drink she asked Trick to make a couple of eps ago, the one that gives the gift of foresight. And she sees a world destroyed. Zeus claims that's the fate of the world if Bo's father rises, which is happening soon because the mark on her is a link to their world that will allow him to break his banishment. So, Zeus wants to remove the mark, and Bo agrees.
But, its all a lie, Lauren and Tamsin figure out from Hera that Iris is the most powerful of the three- indeed she can kill with but a touch. And it turns out she's the real cause of the darkness Bo saw. Unfortunately, she ran off with Mark, who tried to cheer her up by telling her she doesn't have to follow her parents. Turns out unlike Z and Hera, she didn't kill her vessel, that Cece is still alive in there somewhere. So she and Mark go to visit her "real" parents.
Unfortunately it doesn't go so well- Iris tries to talk to her dad, who is happy at first, but recognizes she's not his real daughter. And so she accidentally kills him trying to feel his heart. So he collapses and dies, and Mark sends her off and tries to figure out what to do, when he's stabbed by Iris' mom, who I guess assumed Mark killed her husband. Its kinda hilarious, because when Iris/Cece's dad first sees her, he calls out for his wife, but like she doesn't show up the whole time, and I think there's even a whole commercial break between Iris killing him, and them freaking out over his corpse. And then another minute or two of him telling her to run and then staring at his body trying to figure out what to do before she just appears out of nowhere and stabs him in the gut. Its like, where the hell was she during all this!?
Mark's not the only one in dire straits. Tamsin, even though she's sad and upset about Bo (whom Tamsin basically told that Lauren was her true love, as she can see that Bo is constantly drawn to the doc) challenges Zeus, who zaps her with a lightning bolt, and we don't see if she survives.
In the end, Bo thinks, if Zeus and Hera want to unleash Iris on the world, eff it, she'll unleash Hades since they seem to be so afraid of him. Heh, when Bo starts to turn the crank on the jack in the box, Zeus has this look on her face all, "um, yeah, I'm going to peace out!" So obviously she is kinda freaked out about Eric Roberts.
The Originals- Heh, Marcel's past is pretty bad-ass.
I mean, we knew he was in WWI, but apparently that Joe guy was in his unit. So yeah, with it being WWI, they were in an all black only unit, basically being used as cannon fodder. Eventually, they get gassed while Marcel has a meeting with Klaus who wants to come back to NOLA. So, Marcel sees them dying, and vamps them all. Heh, they were called the Brotherhood of the Damned before that, and after they're turned, he leads them in a berserker charge were they tear apart the opposing German forces.
In the present, Finncent casts a spell that causes his brothers to collapse where they are while their consciousnesses are brought to a hunting lodge where he can talk to them. The lodge has mounted animal heads representing each of them- Klaus is the wolf, Elijah the stag, Koleb the fox, and Finn the boar (or, bore, as Klaus puts it. HA!!) Finn eventually sends Koleb away, since he knows where Rebekah is, and he'll get eaten by the trapped vamps before he gets a chance to tell Klaus where he stashed away poor Beks. The he informs Klaus that he's going to drop the barrier at sundown, when some big NOLA festival is going on. They'll slaughter the people in their ravenous hunger, in such a big display that the vamps will be forced to leave NOLA.
Luckily, Marcel manages to give an inspiring speech to cause the vamps to stay strong until they can get to his place across the river, where there's blood bags, and most important to him a vial of Klaus' blood to cure him of his werewolf bite. Their victory is short lived because Finn shows up, and manages to somehow scoop them all up and disappear with them, wanting to get Klaus' secret out of Marcel.
Because he knows Klaus is hiding something, as he didn't get a rise out of Klaus over Kol's possible doom and with it the whereabouts of the Bekster, or that the vamps were about to lose NOLA forever. Finn is sure that is why he killed Ansel, to keep this big secret. Luckily though, Elijah and Klaus escape by breaking Finn's spell. It was based on representational magic, I guess with the animal heads representing the Brothers, hence being able to bring them into that magical pocket.
But Elijah finally confesses he killed Tatia, so he's no noble stag, whereas Klaus surprises everyone by forgiving Elijah. So, the spell falls apart and they're all released, to Finn's dismay, hence him going after Marcel.
In the Bayou, Jackson takes Hayley to the Bayou to meet his grams so they can start the wedding process. Part of it involves smoking some flower, which is a truth serum that will cause them to divulge all their secrets. So, she freaks out and says she doesn't want to do it, because of the whole Hope thing, knowing Klaus will kill Jackson and anyone else who finds out.
Jackson does convince her to go through with it, saying he can trust her. Unfortunately, Aiden mentions to Klaus they're off in the Bayou doing weird trials that involve that flower, which Klaus recognizes, so he runs off to speak to the "bride to be". That can't be good!
