So saw this thing on ONTD about random actors from Love, Actually who are getting current buzz. Obviously, I knew Rick Grimes was the guy pining over Keira Knightly, but like I guess its been a really long time since I saw it, so I did not realize the guy who was marrying her was The Operative from Serenity. Also, that Bilbo/Watson (who for the longest time I did not realize was British Jim since I've never watched the British Office) was the body double guy, or the kid was Jojen Reed from GoT. Which also reminds me, I was flicking through the channels and that Doctor Who ep with the fake Doctor guy was on, I totally didn't realize that was the Governor!

TV commentary:

Glee- Some people are freaking out about possible Samchel, but what's the big deal?! In terms of het ships for Rachel, Puck was by far my top choice, but Sam was prolly second. He's a nice, decent guy, and I wanna say until they turned him into more of a himbo, his character was a lot like what I think they intended Finn to be. So whatever, if they did put Rachel with him, it wouldn't be the most horrible thing for this show.

It also gives more of an excuse to bring him to NY and keep the amusing Blam friendship going on. I mean, obviously Blaine is going to be in NY next season, and it seems like they're having Sam pursue this male modeling thing to put him in NYC as well. So it seems like they already have his reason to be there. But look at it this way. Klaine is together, and you have Santana, Rachel, and Sam single. They're not going to hire three new people as LIs for them, it just makes sense to pair two of them off. So either Rachel gets with Santana, or she gets with Sam. I know people are all, "Why does she need anyone at all?" Realistically, she doesn't need anyone right now. She has a school, pursuing her dream career, but this is TV, they're not gonna have the female lead not be with someone.

And its not necessarily a bad thing. As long as they don't let her get defined by her relationship, that she won't forgo her dreams for some boy, I think its fine. So anyways, since its that time of year for the Mckinley seniors, Blam decide to visit NYC- Blaine to try out for NYADA and Sam to check out Hunter's college. Cut to a musical montage set to Movin' Out:

What the frick though, they don't keep the door to their loft closed? Its NYC! I mean, I guess if they didn't, Blaine couldn't slide the door open and have him and Sam surprise them. But at the same time, that's exactly why they should lock it, so they won't get surprised by a robber/rapist/murderer!

Kurt's pretty eggcited for Blaine to be joining them at NYADA, and at first it seems like he's exerting too much pressure on Blaine. Like making him sing Piano Man for everyone at the diner:

Blaine says singing doesn't define him though, and he wants to check out other schools and that Broadway is Hummelberry's dream, not his. Like maybe he wants to check out Columbia to possibly pursue pre-med or other things, to not rely solely on NYADA, so if he doesn't get in, he still has a school in NY to go to. Which seemed totally reasonable to me. But Kurt is all, "Oh, you're just scared, but don't worry, you'll crush the auditions!" We don't see him audition (prolly b/c they didn't want to have to get Whoopi Goldberg back for this), but he supposedly does really well. Even though it took like weeks and several auditions for Kurt and Rachel to wonder if they were going to get in, but they act like for Blaine its a done deal after his audition.

But I digress, I didn't see anything wrong with Blaine wanting to branch out, but they act like it was just fear of not getting in, rather than just want to expand his horizons! As for Sam, he totally tanks his Hunter interview, so he decided he might wanna try male modelling. Rachel helps him take some modeling shots, which also include her oiling up his chest, and it seems like they're having moments during the shoot where they're clearly attracted to each other.

He interviews with Bichette, played by Tyra Banks. Who gives him a fair assessment of what this career path will be like. So I was thinking, oh, she's a good person, she's painting a realistic picture of what it will be like without totally discouraging him. But then she says he needs to lose 10 pounds, which is insane.

And the gang thinks so too. So, they convince him not to do that by doing a group rendition of Just the Way You Are:

using the piano Kurt just got for the apartment. Which Santana isn't too keen on, because now they'll be like singing all the time. She acts like she needs some haven from the constant breaking into song, walking off when they start singing, but she's totally into it and joins in on a later verse. Hmph, if there's one thing that makes me sad about my crop of friends, is that they don't share my like of just sitting around and singing or even singing along to something on the radio. Like why can't I have people I can just break into song with?

Anyways, again, Rachel and Sam share an unspoken moment, and it can't be the audience reading to much into things, because Kurt and Santana totally see it and make a eye gesture of "Woah, what's up with that?" to each other. So even though they don't explore this at all this episode, it definitely seems like the show is gonna turn this into a thing.

Back in Lima, Artie wants Becky to go to college, but Sue is being kinda over protective. Becky acts like she has no desire to do anything other than be Sue's secretary, so Artie serenades her with Honesty:

He figures out she's scared and gets her to admit it. But, with Sue's permission, he takes Becky to a nice school in Cincinnati that can handle a special needs girl like her. She likes it, but she's hesitant to tell Sue this is what she wants to do at first because she doesn't want to worry her. They eventually talk it out and that's where she's gonna go. Even though Sue is not even her mom, like they act like she's her guardian or something!

Meanwhile, Marley is still mad at Jake for cheating on her. She won't forgive him, saying he's always been a Lothario, so he decides to embrace it. Ryder, who's still holding a torch for Marley, gets all mad at Jake, all, "How could you screw that up and cheat on the most perfect girl ever!" Jake is all, whatevs, this is My Life:

So, since it seems its over between Jake and Marley, he tries asking her out. She says she's not ready, so he sings An Innocent Man to get her to go out with him:

She agrees, and they have a great time, but she has to straighten him out that they went out on a date, they're not dating yet. Jake acts like he's fine with them dating, and Ryder acts like he's fine with not being Marley's bf yet.

In the end, Sue acquiesces to having an arts booth at the career fair the school is holding, and Will riffs off Becky calling them crazy to do You May Be Right:
