TV commentary:

The Event- Okay, so Vicky does have a thing for Sean, but he's totally oblivious? HA! And wow, the show really does suck with syncing up what the various characters in different parts of the world are doing. I mean, at Sophia's suburban base and in Washington, only a few hours have passed. Yet somehow Sean is able to go from France to a point in Russia that is apparently 10 time zones away by train in that short time period. And I'm sure next week, when he goes after those infected lungs, he'll somehow be in America within a couple of hours. That's the real reason old guy chose him, his ability to traverse the globe almost instantly.

Make It Or Break It- Ha, I called it! Ah, I knew Emily was gonna end up preggers after her night with Damon given Chelsea's real life pregnancy! And right when she's broken up with Damon because she thought he and Kaylee were having an affair! See, I think the show was being a little too subtle, but I think the reason Emily had such an insane thing pop into her head was because of the pregnancy hormones.

Because Kaylee would never! Even a surprisingly tolerable Lauren says Kaylee would never do that (heh, but you could tell she was thinking, "I would, but not Kaylee!"). But ironically, I think with Kaylee going through her issues and working them out with Damon's help, and her being a shoulder to cry on for Damon, and inadvertently making him realize that even without gymnastics, Emily might try to push him away because of her own personal issues, that they might end up doing something.

But yeah, Lauren was surprisingly tolerable this ep, it seems she works fine as long as she's not in the spotlight and is a secondary character. But with Kelly Parker back, Kaylee still working through her anorexia and Emily now pregnant, will Kelly get one of the world team spots?

I do like them dropping random rivals for when they inevitably go to Worlds, because I don't think the drama of competition would work without a face to put on the "enemy". But I assume this Svetlana chick, and that one Chinese girl will be people the girls need to beat at Worlds?

Finally, I'm all for Steve and Roz becoming friends, but I'm hoping their whole hanging out together this ep is not some creepy foreshadowing. I mean, they'll prolly throw Summer back to Sasha now that he's back, and particularly since there's the whole Lauren getting him in trouble secret hanging out there waiting to be found out and bite Steve and Lauren in the ass. And Chloe has Simon Tam. But really, Lauren's dad and Payson's mom would be all kinds of wrong. Steve and Chloe are fine, because they're both currently unmarried. But Payson's dad is still around, working his ass off in some other state to keep her training, so that would not be cool. Well, her and her sister's training? What happened to her little sister? There was the implication last season (or before this last break) that her sister had gotten way better and had potential to reach elite status. But she's been awol for a while, did they just drop that?

make it or break it, tv, the event
