going well.

So far Selena is breastfeeding well. I’m hoping that she is getting enough since it seems to be more like every three hours instead of two, but her diaper count is strong. Tomorrow we have our first doctor appointment tomorrow. Besides the gurgling sounds and squeaks as she yawns she has only cried when she is getting her dipper changed but she wants to eat. Everyone had previously told us that our cat sounds like a baby when he cries and now since her cries are at a lower level we are being told that she sounds like a cat so I wonder if they can understand each other. We are taking her to our family doctor who I really like and feel comfortable with I’m sure if there are any special needs to be checked out he will send to who ever we need to go to. I’m trying to decide if we should try her first sponge bath at home tonight or wait until after the doctor visit tomorrow. I do want a clean baby for the appointment and I know that we won’t get it done before the appointment but at the same time she doesn’t seem dirty.
The introduction with the dogs went well. Koga (the chow-malamute husky mix 1.5 years old) is a little hyper and wanting to nudge her as if he was saying play with me. Diageo (the Siberian husky, 2.5 years old) keep bring me their cow hoofs and bones and dropping them at my feet. He hasn’t done that since we first got him from the pound (he was 7 months and had, had 5 homes already he had a separation problem,) and then he would leave his bones and hoofs in the bed or on the couch. The fat cat could care less about her just his food dish.
I got to change my 3rd diaper today. Jay has pretty much taken over everything but the feeding and I think he is planning on doing that soon since he ordered the breast pump Friday, we were original going to wait a few weeks before that. I’m thinking in a few weeks he is going to be ready to ship me off to work so he can have her all to himself poor mans still going to have to wait for the 12 weeks to be up before that. But honestly I love our morning time together, and I have plenty of cuddle time with her.
Yesterday we went to my father-in-law’s birthday party hosted by his cousin down the road so she got to meet some of the family. Jay’s extended family is huge and they all live a few miles away. They are also all really close so the gatherings are always a blast. Everyone told us that we did good work. My mom came too since she has been down here since last Wednesday.
I’m setting up an appointment at the J.C penny’s photo department next week so Saturday after the baby shower we are co-hosting for a friend, my mother-in-law and I are going shopping for an outfit might drag Jay along with us. I figured I got about 20 of those coupons for the photo packages that I really need to use at least one. There we are just going to shoot Selena and then we will do a family shoot at Wal-Mart since J.C penny’s charges 10 for each extra person and Wal-Mart doesn’t and we can get both packages discounted. Jay keeps telling me to stop trying and plan so much but I’m just not use to staying at home or not being busy.
Besides that I had my first real outing today. I had to do major shopping one of the things I didn’t get done Tuesday. Mom went with me and Jay had Selena we went right after a feeding. We spent about and hour and half there I don’t think we could have fit another thing in the basket. But I’m a little frosted at the fact that I was tired after that. Jay made me sit when I got home and he and mom brought the stuff in and put it away. Mom took over dinner she is cutting a pork loin in to chops and breading them. She is also doing homemade twice bake potatoes and peas and I’m not allowed to help. I just happen to really like cooking I just don’t do dishes.
Well I think that is about all that is going on here.
